Since you mentioned shooting steel BBs from a rifled barrel, I wanted to ask if you have ever tried the Blaster brand plastic BBs. I shoot them from an Umarex, Colt authorized, CO2 powered Python. They shoot at a much higher velocity than steel BBs, but with less energy. I think they may even be for some sort of air soft use, but I haven't shot myself with them to test that out. LOL I find them to be very accurate and I think the reason is twofold. They have a rather large diameter, so they engage the barrel well, and they fire fast enough that the BB is in the barrel for a significantly shorter period of time, making for a shorter lock time. (I think that's what it's called, anyway) I think that means the gun has less time to move off target while the BB goes down the barrel. What I really like about them is that they don't do any damage in the house if you miss and it's easy to rig a blanket as a back drop to stop and collect them for reuse if you shoot from a smoothbore barrel. I don't know if rifling will spoil them for reuse though. The small paper Dixie cups that you'd use for mouthwash in the bathroom make a perfect reaction target with no fear of bounce back or ricochets. Hang a blanket and use them over and over. If you haven't tried them, you might want to just to see if maybe they feed better in your new AF-10 than the lead balls. I've never even heard of that gun, BTW and look forward to you testing it. I bought my supply of plastic BBs from a dive shop in the UK, but I seem to remember seeing a US seller online a short while back.
With the Shinsung we might see you cut a 5 gallon bucket in half instead of a pop can. Actually was looking at the 12.5gr Neilson 177 slug in 400ct. Wasn't sure how tight they fit & how accurate. May have to check them out. Nice Gamo too!!.
