  1. I have used an lmt mrp 16" piston upper on a lower I built for 12+ years. I still have yet to have a malfunction. It has a minimum 10k rounds downrange. It almost never needs to be cleaned. I check it but usually don't need to clean it once a year. It easily could reliably go 5 years with just fresh oil added.

  2. I wish the company named Hogan was still in business. I own a piston AR from them as well as a several POF's. I'm happy that POF parts will interface with the Hogan due to Hogan used to machine all the parts for POF but POF sued them into oblivion.

  3. So to be in this list, a piston rifle necessarily needs the buffer tube. Which begs the question: What is the advantage of the buffer tube? WHY should anyone want this type of piston AR-15 as opposed to the buffer-less SCAR system? (ie. BREN 2, ACR, Carmel, JAKL, etc.)
