  1. Man, a new post by EOtech on what an EOtech is and even still the OEM hasn't broached the subject of why (and how) the "1 MOA" dot still appears as a 1MOA dot under magnification. Are even EOtech scared their customers are too dumb to comprehend how that works? Come on guys, Sub-MOA lasers are the best part of "the EOtech advantage (trade marked)"!!

Plus next time some know-nothing comes on here complaining about battery life you can finally explain to them that lasers gulp power and LEDs sip. If you want the advantages the laser gives, you deal with its power appetite. It's not that EOtech can't figure out how to make a dot optic with a long battery life, it's that you can't make an effective hologram with an LED. Same dumb comments every time. I would love to have a laser that has the power efficiency of an LED but that's not a thing and, very possibly, never will be.

If all you want is a dot buy a red dot
If you want your optic to do red dot stuff but also own the night and be made of PFM and perform sorcery under magnification then you buy an EOtech
You either know or you're still hung up on battery life.

Also push button BDC sounds amazing please consider this as a future option EOtech!!

  2. All the people bitching about battery life; what are you doing that requires you to have your optic constantly on for 1000 hours (40+ DAYS) AND not have the sense to bring spare batteries?

Turn your optic on and off. Change the batteries once a month. If you know you’re going to be somewhere that it needs to be on, you should have already turned it on, and if you’re going to be there a while, you should have spare batteries. The Eotech battery life “problem” is seemingly kept alive only through internet comments. Sure, less life than Holosun or Aimpoint, but the design demands it, but 1000 hours of constant on isn’t something that can’t be tactically prepared for. Jeez.

  3. If you guys want to improve sales amongst the civilian market then one of two things need to happen. One – Improve upon the current product instead of keeping everything the same for YEARS now…. It could start out simple like shake awake and better battery life, different size reticles as well as different size glass… OR… Two – lower the price by a significant margin OR come out with a "budget" model. There's hardly any incentive for me to pay 600+ on a 1x optic when I can spend 1/3 of the price on a proven, tough as nails and reliable rds that has different reticle options. Also, your magnifiers desperately need some innovation and improvement. Your asking price on your magnifiers are absolutely rediculous when for half the price I can get either a 3x,5x or 6x with BETTER eye relief and BETTER eyebox…. Also, your recent release of the rds made for pistol optics was an absolute disappointment. Open emitter with a very odd size window that doesn't take advantage of any circle dot reticle…. Just a dot….

I hate to come off as a hater here because I've been a fan for over 12 years now…. Sadly the only thing I've seen in those years is a smaller body holographic sight, overpriced magnifiers and LPVO's that are so rediculously overpriced that idk how you're making any profit from civilians. I guess when you have such large government contracts with money flowing in nonstop then there's hardly any incentive to innovate.

  4. Everyone talks about “military use” military just goes with the cheapest contract they can get (hence sig winning over Glock). That being said, I have taken a few carbine courses and most recently a 4 day haley strategic subgun class, suppressed mpx with a holosun 510. Around day 3 the screws underneath the mount came super lose and the optic lost zero. Tightened them up and no issues after. I ran a eotech on my AR for carbine classes and had no issues at all. Eotech is superior in sight acquisition and durability from what I see and experienced. In all my classes I’ve never ever seen an aimpoint fail, ever. Long story short, test your shit and setup, because I can absolutely guarantee when you actually take a class or do real live shooting and moving, you will see what fails and what doesn’t, you may be surprised….

  5. 1000-2500 hours? LOL
50,000 hours with modern red dots!

Ya'll need to do some power use research instead of sitting on your back sides instead of eating up GovContracts & 'stealing' my tax money.

  6. Definitely a pretty penny but worth it! I love my EXPS 3-0 In conjunction with my G45 magnifier. The only thing I wish they came with is a cover for the optic and the magnifier so that way dust and stuff doesn’t get on the optic while it’s stored.

  7. Absolutely love my EOTech EXPS's.. Just picked up another for my DD M4A1 RIS III 14.5 setup. While I have learned to manage the battery to help extend it's life, it would be nice for an updated HWS with improved battery life.. please? 😏🤘
