Just upgraded from the Surefire M300C to the Modlite PLHV2. No ragrets whatsoever.

The PLHv2 is a great all around light. I have the PLHv2 on two of my rifles. Also upgraded from a Streamlight HL-X. So far so good.
It took me a minute to bring myself to drop the money on a modlite but once I did I've never looked back.

Why the cheek riser and the (what appears to be a) super tall mount? I am unfamiliar with AR ergonomics, so I don't have an intuitive answer. I assume it is to keep your head in a more upright position? Just looks like a super snaggy setup.
