  1. I just ordered BCA 7.5 barrel for this same reason. My state with my CHL I can carry it with me in my car/truck loaded. I looked into building a 9mm. Way cheaper to go this route for me with my existing 80% lower. Plus I already have cases and cases of .223,Pmags and drums.

What’s your plan come the brace rule change. Keep it and get a stamp or loose it? I’m going to toss mine and just go with standard pistol tube and cheek rest. I’ll be throwing away $150.

  2. I'm in PA so we can't have rifles in the truck either but that begs the question where are all the 15.5" AR pistols? If folks are going through the trouble to pin and weld to make 16" why don't I see anyone selling big pistols?

  3. Hi New England, Wyoming checking in. I had a 7 inch AR that was extremely well-made, with very specific fitment tolerances, etc. But I eventually sold it at a yuge loss because it was unreliable. As you know, ARs were designed with longer barrel lengths; any time an input is changed, the whole calculation goes out the window and has to be re-done. Shorten a barrel to the point where combustion is affected? Add a suppressor so that more gas than the original platform designer ever considered possible is now blowing backwards? Again, as you know, any AR design with a shorter than conventional barrel needs to be piston-operated.
