Is the angled foregrip on a rail mount that's installed on the m-lok?
It just caught my attention as I was a little worried that some fun attachments for picatinny rails weren't gonna be accepted on m-lok if it was the only option
The Magpul "Mlok" system is RETARDED. WHY? Why bother putting on an Mlok system, That you are going to need to install pickatinny rail anyway….??? Makes no sense to me at all. You double the install work, And get ZERO advantage. What have you gained with this system?
MLOK was clearly designed with weight in mind, but the problem is that any modern picatinny system can be skeletonized for weight and still be a better mounting system. Aero has a design, which despite being a larger diameter than most MLOK stuff, works well and weighs very little. Perhaps if MLOK mounts had a spring loaded screw or some kind of divet for the MLOK screw to "fall" into during installation, it might really come in as a solid system.
Why is this system so shitty lol? All they needed to do is putting some grooves inside the barrel so they little nubs can snap there when you screw everything down
This video saved me so much grief, I'm sure of it. Got my first MLok rifle a few weeks back and bought some attachment points. The way you did this made life that much easier for me! Thank you!
Thanks man. Installation was still a bit of a pain because I could barely see inside the hand guard (I guess it comes with the territory) but this method was definitely helpful.
yeah my first m-lok QD install I got the lug too far into the slot. it wound up grinding the slot a bit. removed and filed the inside of the rail to remove the spur. Best position I have found for aluminum rail mounts is get the lug just at the cam. no gab between the cam and lug. Then put it in the slot, and see that it does twist. This should get it set right where it needs to be.
I used an angled blunted 90 degree pick to ever so slighty hold the lug in place until I get pressure on the handguard. Then torque. 15 in/lb for polymer and 30ish in./lb for metal on metal.
Finally an M-LOK installation trick that actually works. Am I the only person who thinks that M-LOK is not only more difficult to install (using Magpul's method) but also doesn’t appear to hold better than Keymod? I love Magpul but their marketing and PR departments deserve an award for making this the unarguable standard mounting system in the civilian world whereas Picatinny remains the military standard.
So, "just do it?" He did it. But not one word about how to turn the rectangular nuts the necessary 90° and no more. Maybe I should just do it. Maybe it's magic. Watching this was a waste. I see it helped a lot of people. I don't see how, unless to show it is somehow possible. Which we already know.

Mlok Is Trash, Jesus H….
So like. M lol is obnoxiously and unnecessarily difficult. Picatiny is superior in every way 🎃
How’s you get that angled foregrip on a mlok rail?

Straight forward, great vid
Thanks very much for this. Just installed a QD sling mount today using your video and it was a piece of cake!

Out of curiosity, what is the advantage of m lok over picatinny?
I feel like a dumbass not thinking of this lol ty
This tutorial is much better. https://youtu.be/YVbNcTmA5LQ
Sorry dude but I wish I saw his first.
This is just a terrible design

Mlok is a bitch compared to keymod but for some reason it took off way more than keymod did.

Yet another dogshit video that doesn't help me install this dogshit rail
best way to install mlok is to just get a quad rail.

I effing hate MLOK. Such a frustrating and unnecessary system.
I still don't know what the fuck m lok is
Man that's a beautiful rilfe
These best godamned video ive ever seen on the MLok system EVER
Thank God I got my Daniel Defense MK18 with the picattiny rail and not mlok. This looks like a nightmare!
What if you want to remove an attachment closer to the receiver?
Okay not braggin 66 yr old female, that is how I put mine on the first place!!
Bad camera angle.
First Timer eh?
I bought a 15 slot rail and it is 6" inches long. How many rectangle slots would you need for it?
Perfect. Much Thanx. 👍

So do you need to buy a mlok system or do most attachments already come with them?
Thanks for the video man extremely helpful
They promote this like you could just slap it on. Stupid gun hypes.

Thanks that was easy after this video – at first I felt like I had to disassemble the barrel and such
big help, you made it easy, thanks
Do you really need thread lock? Will it be permanent if you do use it?
Why did my foregrip come with 2 sets of screw and "fittings"?
Just done this with a picatinny rail….
Many thanks Jim
