  1. Looks like a SIG Romeo 8T competitor. Same overall form factors and function. Less expensive, I guess?
I don't consider 'durability' much of a sellable feature, because all of today's players have already achieved the necessary durability to be used in any environment. Different aluminum alloys are largely irrelevant, because the heat treat (after machining) is what determines its durability. Lack of 'shake awake' isn't a feature either, as it's a nice feature to never have to bother turning your optic on/off.
Either way, hope to see a comparison from hoplief or similar reviewer! Best of luck on your sight!

  2. Thank you for pushing design boundaries and not succumbing to industry norms. This optic will reside permanently my 300 blk sbr come January. Looks bomb proof.

  3. I would love to have one, but it is still out of my price range, considering I am a low income poor. so unless you have a way I can "earn" one, or can gift/donate one to me. I guess I will have to do without and just imagine what it would be like to have a quality red dot or Eotech.AimPoint killer

  4. The best way to promote this to the gun community in my opinion would be to send a couple of units to Sage dynamic for testing, if it passes his testing and gets a recommendation from him, you will quickly find yourselves hard-pressed to keep them in stock.

  5. Aimpoint/Eotech aside, the LP-1 is a direct competitor to the Sig 8T.

The 8T has a 38mm window, with a 10 year battery, titanium shroud, Hex bolt mount at absolute/1/3rd hybrid height, shake awake, more reticle/brightness settings, weighs 13.7oz and is approx. $600 with a Sig Warranty.

The LP-1 has a 43.7mm window, with a 3 year battery, 6061 shroud, QD mount at lower 1/3, weighs 11.8oz and is $275/$350 with a limited lifetime warranty for same user.

*Website gives the window at 1.37" x 1.04" or 34.8 mm x 26.4 mm = 43.7mm diagonal. My math is shite so I hope that's right.

Both are made of 7075 and assembled in the US w parts from overseas.

Personally, I like the features of the LP-1 and don't need the added 2 oz. to add a titanium shield (2 ozs right there), MOTAC and extra battery life. 3 years on a $5 battery for always on is sufficient. Also I never want to use a warranty but if I do, i hope service is decent. (Sig has a good warranty and customer service)
