  1. The entire reason I don't run Eotech is the short battery life combined with the auto turn-off features. My home defense firearm used to have an Eotech, but I would have to take it out if the compartment it's stored in and click the on button every single night. Yes, I know clicking a button is one simple task when getting the weapon ready for use in a defense situation, but I would have to: take firearm out of compartment, unfold stock, pull the charging handle, hit light button, and hit Eotech power button. That extra step really is a burden in that situation. I'll just stick with aimpoint, heck even a holosun red dot is leagues ahead in this type of situation.

    Eotech is a great optic for other situations. Even the best in certain situations, but it's a burden in mine.

  2. Something not covered here is the UH-1 has windage adjust by moving the base of the optic itself. Meaning you can wiggle it side to side by hand*, and dirt/dust *may get underneath the windage screw mating point with the adjustment block. EOTechs adjust, but internally I think. I have a video showing this; Vortex RMA'd that UH-1 Gen2.
