  1. Whoo! Nice shootin. I too have the problem of "the dot being bigger than the face", though I assume it was just due to how far away the target was in this case.
My eye doctor says I only have a mild astigmatism. In fact she said in my right I have a(I think?) .5, which I believe she said was the lowest measurable astigmatism(again, I could be wrong), and a 1 in left eye, which is, unfortunately, my dominant eye.
For me, red dots, regardless of quality, always look like vertically stretched out tiny little balls of yarn. Obviously this isn't ideal, but when I took a carbine class years back one of the instructors said that's exactly how he sees red dots, and that he zeros his rifles such that the tip of the dot(which is pretty much pointy) is where wants his rounds going at 25yds, which is how I've set my guns up ever since(though I switched to a 36 yard zero a few years back.)

  2. Correct me if I’m wrong, but this wouldn’t be considered MK18 right? Seems like a longer barrel whereas a MK18 would have anything from the 10.3-11.5 category. May have been a typo while trying to put MK12 or something

  3. Bigger than the face! Lol wait till your 55 yo eyes try! This is great vid. Brings me back to good times with my father, well, it was a bolt gun not an AR, but you are blessed to have time and an activity to share together. ‘MERICA!

  4. Now do moving targets at variable ranges he's got the hold set. Now add in the unknown target speed at distance. If he gets that down, he'll be good to go. Good Shooting keep up the training and keep it fun too

  5. My brother wouldn’t let me take my nephew shooting when he was three or four, i thought three was a good compromise. I don’t know why he’s so against firearms. Well, I guess he’ll be like every other normal American. I won’t be making the same mistake with my son.
