  1. I do not believe that I can assemble a smooth, reliable full time suppressed AR-15 without an adjustable gas block. It seems that without the adjustment, it will run hot on soft loads and marginal on hot loads.

  2. I just got done building an AR10/M5 .308 using all Aero Precision parts with the exception of the barrel. I also added their adjustable low profile gas block, I haven’t shot it yet because I lost the tube retention pin when I tried to install it without the proper tools, so I’m waiting for the right tools and replacement pins to arrive.
I mainly went with an adjustable gas block because I probably won’t be shooting the same bullet size all the time and in case I decided to add a suppressor in the future.

  3. So I currently have a Del-Ton ar15 with an 18” barrel. I still want to keep the 18” barrel size. Anyway, I fully built the lower and I purchased a G3 Competition Enhance BCG CopperHead bolt carrier (light weight skeleton BC). Now I obviously can’t use it yet until I upgrade the gas system/buffer tube, but I am still wanting to shoot 223/556 (as I can do that currently). What would you recommend getting? I didn’t see anything mentioning an 18” only a 15”, but I would like to get the same barrel length or at the minimum of a 16” length. I believe I was looking at JP, but need more info on what is best. Preferably an adjustable gas block, as that is how I can go from 223 to 556 caliber (at least I think that is how that would work). Still new two this platform. I’ve had mine for just over a year as of February. Any tips would be great! Also I prefer to do everything myself, if at all possible without having to go to a gun smith.

  4. I need some help. I have an ar15 from radical firearms that cambered in 223,I shoot steel through( cause it's cheaper)and the steel casing does not eject. Fyi I do not have an adjustable gas block.

  5. I want add an adjustable gas block to my AR for my lightweight, low mass BCG's. How difficult is it to remove the existing gas block if it is 'pinned' to the barrel? If it is pinned and remove it, will I have issues with installing the AGB on the same barrel that was pinned? Not sure if there are damage issues when removing the pinned gas block? Hmmmmm….educate me on this! THX!

  6. Shooting a 16", mid-length gas-system properly tuned side by side against a 16", carbine-length gas-system that's over-gassed is night and day different. If I'm ever taking a new shooter out or someone who hasn't shot an AR before, I always bring one of my tuned adjustable ones, or a 20" A4 clone.

My cousin has a post-ban bushmaster 14.5", carbine setup that's horribly over-gassed with a really obnoxious pinned muzzle break. It's gotta be the 2nd least pleasant gun I've ever shot, next to a Glock 27 lol.

  7. Any lefties here? Debating on a short stroke system or an ar with adjustable gas system for a suppressor host. Which would you do and why? Trying to stop the “freedom tears” as Clint says

  8. Great videos guys. I just sold my DI LWRC (which I loved) but have always wanted to built my first AR from the ground up, which I just completed last week. Decided to go with an SLR adjustable gas block and low mass BCG and haven’t looked back. All my future AR’s will have adjustable blocks for the tune-ability.
