In this video, I take the chance to give a brief review of the 10.5″ AR Pistol Upper from Radical Firearms. This upper was very affordable, provided great quality and worked well with all the other pieces of my build.

  1. I have the RF carbine and pistol, and I could not be happier with them. Granted, this isn't an HK MR556, but it will work nicely for personal defense. I only have a little over 500 rounds through each, but I've had no issues with either. I look forward to testing the guns harder, but for $379 and $399 respectively, I don't think they can be beat. Check them out!

  2. You could've got that same upper from Palmetto State Armory (with an FN barrel) for $199.99, not on sale (regular price). But… that's a 2017 price, and this is a 2015 video. Big difference in the AR market. A blast forwarding device might help mitigate the audible report of that 10.5 barrel. You can actually shoulder the weapon if you choose, or you could cheek-weld it for stability. Either way, this is a good "intro to your firearm" video. I appreciate it.

  3. Got a complete Radical 10.5 inch pistol. No malfunctions, and at 50 yards, with Hornady V Max ammo, gets .8 inch groups. Of course, it had a scope. But for a 10.5 inch barrel, pretty good in my opinion.

  4. Im looking at doing a build with a 10 inch rail and 10.5 inch barrel similar to this setup, is that enough to get a suppressor on without any problems? My rail is 1.5 in diameter the same as most suppressors so I'd like to have it as close to the rail as possible since it won't fit inside.
