  1. I really like this red dot. A couple of notes: 1) It’s better than a Trijicon because you can also change the battery without removing the optic from the slide. 2) The Sig Romeo 1 Pro is also a DeltaPoint Pro footprint. Though not as popular as the rmr cut, still there are actually quite a few firearms with this footprint.

  2. Can we please have a universal footprint?! Let's call it F.U. for Footprint universal 🤣 seriously there has be an agreement between these companies to make a F.U. for my long slide 😉

  3. The reason its a DPP footprint is because of one thing, Contracts. The P320 (DPP cut) is issued by tons of law enforcement and State/Federal agencies, also our Military. A lot of them like LAPD, FN 509/DPP cut, are starting to issue optics as well but don't want anything that breaks the bank. That's the main market they're going after. They're one of the most successful optics manufacturers in the world, I think they know what they're doing.

  4. I really don't get the haters. This optic makes a lot of sense to me from a business perspective.

    1. They made it the DPP footprint so it fits Sigs and M17/M18. This not only puts them in a good position to push contracts but also puts their optic in competition with the more expensive but not that well acclaimed DPP.

    2. They made an optic that competes with the RMR in design for cheaper. Yes Holosun is cheap as hell but they aren't targeting the same market. Instead of trying to out-Holosun Holosun it makes sense to go for the people who don't want to buy "chinesium" but still want a solid, dependable, and affordable optic. They want to go for the DPP, RMR, Romeo1Pro crowd.

    3. Yes they could have made an enclosed emitter optic but those are more expensive and more expensive categories aren't usually the money-makers. It makes sense to try and establish yourself with this first before pivoting into enclosed emitter designs, especially when this thing has probably been in development longer than those have really been taking off.

    4. I don't get all the battery life haters AT ALL. 25K hours with a toploading battery is not a big deal. People still take their RMR, the "most popular MRS", off the gun in 2022 to change a battery guys. People are also complaining that it doesn't have shake awake? I LIKE that it stays on all the time. I'd rather it be on all the time and change the $1 toploaded battery once a year then have my sight turning itself off and on all the time. Yes it works great on a lot of optics, but I like the peace of mind that it's always ready to go.

IDK I'm trying to find a reason why this thing isn't a winner and it's pretty tough. People saying it's a great optic for 2018 without acknowledging that in the gun world people buy "old" things all the time. If it's an open emitter but it works well then I think it's a winning product

  5. Holosun has a locking feature so you don’t accidentally mess with buttons. Horrible footprint no one uses anymore.

Eotech, did y’all just get really drunk at shot show and come up with this idea?

  6. It's cool that you're able to get higher end stuff like this to make videos about, but at the end of the day I am here for budget gear reviews. I can go anywhere to hear about the latest outdated-when-it-releases EOtech or Trijicon release.
Edit: Partway through and man the other commenters are on point this thing offers zero compelling reason to buy besides the branding. You buy the trijicon rmr because it's bombproof at least. I'd like to see a Sage review on this with drop tests.

  7. This is a very overglorified optic on paper. Does everything other manufacturers been doing for years. Eotech imo missed the opportunity to actually innovate. But they prolly competing for a contract that’s why it’s footprint is the way it is

  8. I think EO tech has been on life-support trading off 20+ year old technology on their other red dots and has not kept up with the times and has basically priced themselves out of the market because they want top dollar for 20 year old design, The fact that they are using the DeltaPoint footprint shows how out of touch they are
