The laser bore sight on Amazon:
Bore sighting a rifle can be done in two ways: looking straight through the bore, or using a laser bore sight. In this video we show how to do both methods and which one works the best.

The only times I’ve had to take a lot of shots sighting in a rifle was back when I’d get a store to laser bore sight it for me after getting a combo or buying a scope. So I quit letting any do that a long time ago and no, it hasn’t made me want to buy a laser BS. Take the time to old school bore sight right and yes, you can get a gun sighted in with just a few shots, especially with a high quality scope. Last one took only 6 or 7 and that even included loosening the rings to slide the scope back to me some. Heck, I used to be good to even be on paper at 50 when laser BSed but the way I do it I have no worries.
Really, Nancy Pelosi wants to take our guns away? I thought it was the Republicans and Ronald Reagan (Mulford Act) that took away our right to carry guns. Which legislation is Nancy trying to pass to take "all our guns away"?
how to sight in a rifle in two minutes flat
The 5 minute run time I saw on the corner of the thumbnail is making me veeeeeery skeptical
Noob question…this is just going to get you into the ballpark right? I am getting ready to sight in my new primary arms scope with my AR 10 .308. the scope's direction is to sight 1 inch high at 100 yds. In general how do you account for bullet drop?
Just need your tips not your political comments.
You know, if you could keep the politics out of your videos, I might be interested. However, like Lindsey Graham I'm out.
That looks like a beautifully decorated home!
"Aim small. Miss small."
For those of you who are Mel Gibson fans, if you know, you know.
Hi…should your rifle be perfectly level and how far away should I be if I'm trying to do this inside…thx
great video
With that laser boresight, how far do you have to zero with the scope? 15 feet? 25 feet?
Honey you say ''2 minutes flat '' but your video is 5 minutes long–lol-love !!
came here for knowledge and got hit with the herka derka liburuls want muh gunz
The poor man doesn't need fresh batteries every time he moves his scope. Also, aim at the top of a flagpole 300 yards away. Also, don't buy Chinese crap through Amzn.
Nice.
I’ve always used the look through barrel method but it’s impossible with all just! I actually just purchased the same bore sighted you have there. Thanks for a great video
Make shure the rubber /plastic bore size adapter is 'Snug'. due to moving the rifle and that thing called gravity. This particular L.B.S will not be level with the barrel. When you insert this model of LBS, you twist the unit gently as if you're tighten it down, it should actually tighten a little more in the bore. Don't ask me how I know. lets just say I suffered for y'all.
If you're 10 -15 yd. Set your scope recital on the bullseye. Looking thru the scope. The crosshairs should be on the bull, about 1.75 – 2" above and in-line with the red or green dot from the laser. That's right, the laser should appear below the bullseye….if you're outside and you can squeeze off a round or two 'legally', At 10yds; crosshairs on the bullseye. You should bullet-hole the laser dot, NOT THE BULL…. I've made my own Zero targets from paper plates for 10,20 and 25ys…LBD Dot @ 10y: 2" / 20y 1.75" / 25y 1"…. below the bull. this is strictly for making sure the recital is aligned.
In no way am I critical of this LBS. I have several different styles and two of this 'Type' (I dropped one, D'OH). This type is very good for rifles, Not so for pistolas. For that applications…get the chambered LBS…personally the best way to go for all applications. That said; if you're budget minded…this style will save you a lot of $$$ in ammo.
Have a rifle / Ghun vice holding your rifle, holding the rifle; you will see how wobbly you really are. Tipton makes a solid unit and the $$ is very reasonable. Shooting rest is valuable for the test shots and zero. Will the LBS zero your scope; maybe, but not likely …So don't get caught in that mind-set. Will it get you close…YES. You will have to make adjustments for 100yd ++ zeros. before you even turn on the LBS, it is imperative you have the scope mounted per MFG. instructions and each screw torqued properly and the scope recitals are level, you may think it is. You'd be surprised. Backfire has a Vlog on mounting a scope with the Wheeler kit (I have one of those too)
Finally…. remove the laser….before you chamber a round…. I know…sounds ridiculous. To this day…I've yet to F** up that bad.
What size scope is on that on your rifle?
#1 – measure distance from center of bore to center of scope tube. #2 – place a blank sheet of paper out 25-30yds with one dot centered, and another the same distance in #1 below the 1st (red or black shoot n see repair dots work great). #3 – look through bore and place top dot dead center…lock rifle in place. #4 – adjust scope crosshairs to center of bottom dot. Note – make sure reticle is plumb prior and both dots on paper are plumb (use a carpenters level).
I really liked your hunt in Alaska
Here terrorist Britain we no guns only air rifles for common citizens as for rich Middle class and upper class can own guns, will it work for Air Rifle
No.. not always laser bore sight pointed the bore sight..first zero the laser beam and than zero the scope
Are these methods good for muzzleloaders as well? I’ve been having a hell of a time sighting my muzzle loader in with iron sights. Very inaccurate. It does have a little bit of rust in the barrel so I believe that’s the majority of my problem right there. Once I clean that rust out I plan on getting a bore sighter. Thanks and great video 👍🏻
Watched this video last night cause i just came home with Howa compact in .243. Mounted the scope that came with the package (not a high end scope) last evening and did an eye sight on the wall in the house at a very short distance, 15 feet. Brought the rifle outside in the yard today and re did the eye bore sight at about 30 yards, and off we went north to the big sand pit for final adjustments. First round was off the bullseye at 75 yards by 2.25 inches! I was ecstatic! Needless to say was on bull with two more shots. Now just need a deer to jump into the crosshairs!
I have that same boresighter. I am really happy with it. I use it on all my rifles from .22 through 300 WSM. Once you are sighted in at 100 or 200 or what ever, make a 25 yard target with a center bull and mark where the laser hits. Take that with you into the field. If you drop of bump the scope you can check your s old quickly.
