You’re supposed to be able to use a stock, no need for a brace, unless yours is because of a state law that is. I’m 100% clueless on any state law outside of TN.

Hey what's up boss I have a question , I'm going to take my max conceal class this weekend (dc , md , Utah) .
I'm a MD resident and Probaly going to apply for the dc and Utah permit .
My question is do I need a (hql) before I apply ? Also do you have any tips as far as after I'm done with the concealment class?

Good stuff.. I recently decided to build a AR pistol due to the shortages of uppers.. Long story short if my understanding is correct, what dictates the pistol status is the actual brace and length of the barrel. Adjustable stock and under 16" would be classified as SBR. Under 16" with fixed brace would make it a pistol. That's a over simplification but the gist of it w/o going into all the little details of adding accessories. Please correct me if I'm not factoring in something else
