  1. G'day Chris, yep with ya, AAAs are crap for torches of any description IMO. USB-C is the go, but settle for micro if everything else is cool, like you, I must have a coupla dozen micro cables still lol.
    Gotta say the 'ol Archers 1A and 2A still stand up; as an early riser, I use them every morning and often @ night, I get weeks out of them on NiMH 2500 mAh AAs. Probably handle 14500s too, but not prepared to potentially spoil a good thing. Cheers Duke.

  2. I don't mind AAA. I carry a Lumintop Tool AAA and it's perfectly usable and simple for a pocket light. That Thrunite looks great for that price though, especially for an integral battery, which could be a pro or con depending on your opinions. Wish it didn't have strobe though. Not necessary in almost any light short of a gun light. A pocket light needs 3, maybe 4 settings tops. Thanks for the review!
