  1. Several of us in  the VFD have one. For our purpose, its an excellent light. Being out in the boonies it is great for searching for address at night and the strobe helps EMS locate us a bit easier too. It should prove valuable , God forbid, we need to do search and rescue at night, but I think it will prove itself there as well.  I think you presented this light well, regardless of what some may think.

  2. Sootch – you didn't specifically mention this but if you have any pull with Streamlight I would recommend a momentary-on switch mode so that the light can be used for signaling, e.g. morse code.
Also, do they make this in a RCR123A or 18650 version?
Thanks for the vids, keep 'em coming.

  3. I wouldn't buy that personally. For a spotlight I've got a Fenix TK41 which runs on 8 pretty cheap AA rechargeable Eneloops, and just today I ordered a TK75 which has just a huuge spill for lighting up a whole area. I don't use any light with non-rechargeable batteries anymore, it's too expensive and not very "eco".
I agree with ya about having spare lights – Yesterday I wanted to click on one S15 Baton, but it looks as it has died – no reaction even with new batteries. Thank god I always have a PD35 on me 😉

  4. 210 Lumen in a Deep Highly Polished baffel is more than enough for a spot light If you guys want more get ready to pay the Big Buck$. I liked it & ordered it but the recharable one. I think it works just fine from Cabelas.
