  1. I've been thinking about a 338 Lapua for my next precision rifle slash sniper rifle build. I was also thinking about some other 338 varients and wildcats. I was initially going to build a 257 because it's important that I have limited bullet choices or else I will load 100 different bullets 100 different ways and never get consistency.. my builder told me to stick with a 30 cal because of the bullet choices but he doesn't know me very well. I wouldn't mind a long barrel 308 and a long barrel 30-06ai

  2. This video just confirmed my perspective on these rounds. .308 an excellent hunting/sniper round. 6.5 Creed is a great flat shooting target round (this dog will hunt too). .338 Lapua is just an absolute BEAST!

  3. Maybe one have to recount – the 308 passed through 12 boards almost 13 – look carefully at the count of 338 Lapua – it past only 14 – not 15 boards. – it did not touch 15. That give a board and a quarter difference. That is bad for the Lapua especially when you compare the ammo size. Furthermore – the test should have used the same ammo to compare it. The projectiles of these ammo is not the same. Calibre wise it seems the 308 came out the best of them.
