When I started my 6arc project last year I found a Faxon 16" barrel. It's called their "Gunner" profile. Love it! I put it together for coyotes and varmints and it's perfect for humping around.

I think premium barrel would be ok as it could bear full auto easily and goes for maximum rounds,be gentle,God Bless

DD S2W in 18" is a heavier barrel but fluted and mine is a tack driver and then I have a Faxon 'skinny' lol. Weighs nuttin and on a non-select fire does just fine
