This week, State Senator Todd Lakey (R-12) introduced NRA-Backed Emergency Powers Legislation, Senate Bill 1262.  The measure will be first considered in the Senate State Affairs Committee on Monday, February 7, at 8:00am.  Please contact your State Senator and ask them to SUPPORT Senate Bill 1262.

Senate Bill 1262 provides protections for gun stores, ranges, or any other entity that engages in the lawful selling or servicing of firearms, components, or accessories.  This provides protections against seizure, failure to issue licenses or process applications, and establishing gun related businesses as “essential businesses” during a declared State of Emergency.

The NRA would like to thank Governor Brad Little and Representative Judy Boyle for their collaboration and support for this critical protection of Idahoans Second Amendment rights.  Again, please contact your State Senator and Representative, and ask them to SUPPORT Senate Bill 1262.
