If you’ve been around the block more than once you may have noticed that asking for advice on the internet can often be more trouble than it’s worth, but I’m doing it. This “fancy rifle” build began with an F-1 Firearms receiver set, Aero Precision barrel, and POF DIctator gas block, but just won’t run. Lightweight carrier and Odin Works light weight buffer and there’s still not enough gas to run the gun.

Check gas lug on bolt carrier might not have been seated correctly or may have blockage try and put pipe cleaner through it
It may not be short stroking. Due to everything being so light, the buffer and BCG may be doing a full stroke, but is running so fast that it overruns the next cartridge before the magazine follower can push it up to the feed lips and it can be stripped from the magazine. Try making it heavier and slowing it down a little, instead of lightening it so much.
Think of "floating valves" when you over-tach and engine.
That gun is straight trash. Haha. Its funny to me what people will pay more for.
Where’s the buffer spring detent pin that holds the buffer and spring in the buffer tube.
i would try a lighter buffer spring and if that doesn't work get a new barrel with a shorter gas tube for more dwell time.
Buffer spring is not the right lbs and where is the pin holding in your buffer
I'm no expert but I believe your barrel is too short or you need to change your gas port. I could also be the bolt carrier .

That's the same reason you can't separate your upper and lower that spring and buffer should always stay Inside The buffer tude
Your missing the detent that holds your buffer in the tube I can clearly see that in the video put all your parts in your lower so your buffer doesn't hit you trigger and it'll probably function
Why would you skeletonize the upper receiver of an ar? This is where the explosion happens…. So you weakened structural integrity of where the explosion happens and have opened up large ports to invite dirt and other contamination into your system? Why? What payoff did you get that was worth these two risks?
Check to make sure the Cerakoting didn't get over spray inside the upper receiver. I had that done to my Arsenal Democracy AD16 and found it short stroking when I got it back. I had to polish the inside of the upper receiver to make it so it didn't drag on the bolt.

I gotta agree Its gotta be the spring. I don't have anything this fancy but I've built a few and that's where I think the issue would be. Lightening everything and then putting a heavy spring on it just makes sense to me why it's happening.

I had a similar problem. I drilled out the gas port hole. Problem solved..

one thing that goes thru my mind, is maybe the gas port itself is drilled to small in the barrel. I have watched Chad over at SCHOOL OF THE AMERICAN RIFLE, and I don't think any of them measure the same diameter. I guess since the rifle is assembled from mismatched parts, you may need to do something "creative" or think outside the box in order to make it run. i would think that either a larger gas port in the barrel, or blocking the rifle length port off completely, and drilling in a carbine length gas port. of course all of that would have to be done with your gunsmith anyway. so why not have him tackle these issues.
Your buffer spring is stiff..try to replace it with a little bit softer
What gr bullet are you using, The barrel port can be to far away and like everyone else said the spring could be to stiff.
I know its been a year but have you tried a flat spring?
1 possibility: gas port is not align well with the gas block hole; 2: buffer spring too strong.
Glad you like that rifle. I sure don't. I dislike skeletonizing any gun…especially pistol slides. Lets all kinds of sh** into the bearing surfaces.
To much buffer spring tension.
Sounds like you need already a H1 buffer and the correct length buffer spring. I would recommend a JP silent buffer in H1. Also looks as if your buffer tube isn’t in all the way.
