Pity that Nikon stopped their bino manufacturing. Parts and support going to be hard to come by.
Vortex had the worst edge to edge sharpness. It is ok at the center and it goes very bad very fast.

Very interesting comparison! I think the quality you mention in the Nikons, of maintaining visibility in both brightly-lit areas and shadows at the same time, could reasonably be described by a photographic term – wide dynamic range.
