Mickey goes over how to oil an AR-15 with two dirty rifles. This is not a cleaning and detailing video. This is basic maintenance to insure your rifle is ready of a weekend of training, and avoid pre-mature wear of internal components.

I like it wet, so I just squirt into it. Fuck what people think. You wouldn't run a car without oil right? Same concept
i agree with you, good job,im learning
Hoppes 9 & High Temperature Red Grease every 1K rounds 💯👍
I agree but different oil i would use
I use clean 5w20 for my AR's. Works wonderfully.
I am 48 years old started in the carpentry trade at about 12 maybe 13 years old because that’s what my people did I sharpen my chisels my chainsaw blades by hand yes sir oil is a good thing when it comes to a metal product or anything that moves what you explained about your dusting I do the exact same thing
I always 'over-oil' my AR and let it sit barrel facing down overnight after a clean/lube because I don't plan on throwing it in the dirt. I keep a bore-snake and a tiny vial of oil in the pistol grip for quick barrel clean/lube if needed. That's the only useful thing I've found that will fit inside the grip storage.
The wetter the better

Bob Ross of gun lubing. Nice video
I use a thin layer of grease in my guns. Works great!
Lot of effort to show how you clean a AR 15, very Detailed for anyone who has a AR 15 could get some great advice on how to keep clean and free of rust, I put little oil on outside and wiped down clean, Thank You, Great video
moving parts need oil and if you are worried about being dirty clean it you are right guns need oil.
He talked about spraying brake clean on parts lol. That ended the video for me. I've never heard of anyone spraying brake clean on any parts!
The MORE GF oil you use the more he sells….That is why he wants it wet.
Does anyone have any idea what color the receiver is on the Radian AR that he cleans in this video?
Love the Gunfighter lube. Burns on the crotch, but great on my AR🤘
I use synthetic motor oil. It's cheap and lasts forever! 😉
I am not the military type guy that prefers to scrub everything clean.
Me glaring "well obviously"
Good and informative video.
Showing people the stuff they need to know. Keep it up
I've been neglecting the buffer spring and tube. Thx for the tip. All the great info!
Thank you Sir.

It's been a long time since I fired an M16 in Basic Training, and now I find myself as a new AR15 owner. I plan on absorbing every bit of info I can lay my hands on. Thanks for the video(s), Mickey!!
good thing you're not in the desert. that gun would be a sand magnet.
ok a vet from the sandbox turned me onto Hoppes #9 and ATF in a 50/50 mix and it's AWESOME… it goes WAY further because it thins it but the ATF keeps it WAY cleaner and it holds up to WAY higher temps than just oil alone… it's messy… like… it's going to weep oil n carbon out as it shoots but… keeps things from gumming up and it's Soo much better than just oil… ever see a dirty Auto transmission journal…. nope me either… and those get HOT… it's a high pressure high temp lubricant and everything runs way smoother than just oil alone…i switched about 9 years ago and I run it on everything… give it a shot… oh… AND..
it's not 10$ tube
This video was such a hard sales pitch I couldn’t get 7 minutes into it. If you had casually mentioned it that would have been fine but continually driving it in made me have disdain for this brand. Y’all, use Hoppes and not some weird social media influencer knock off.
