  1. Like you said, m5 has a better magnification even to mh 10x. În this price range. Its more than a.. Honda. Ok, its not a Rolly Royce like Swaro or Leica…But..magnification is important too Otherwise, somebody of us could return to the binoculars of our childhood. Superb reviews..keep gong, my respect, the same, Catalin

  2. Thanks to your reviews, I decided to take the monarch 7 instead of the originally planned 5. I am really glad that I did it, this binocular is simply phenomenal for its price niche. Huge viewing angle and incredible clarity are worth their $ 150. Thank you for your videos!

  3. Hey dude, nice channel. Can you start making reviews with spotting scopes please? I love binos, but spotting scopes are the perfect hybrid between a binocular and a telescope, more extensive use.

  4. Nice review. I just bought the Nikon Monarch 7 8×30. For me it was an upgrade from the Nikon Sportstar EX 8×25 (which i think is best in class for the 80 euro asking price). I can't believe how much more enjoyable the 8×30's are to look through, they suffer a little bit with flare problems, but totally acceptable i think given the price (300 euro) and how good the image is. I think its a good bin for you to look at, for me its perfect. I wanted a more serious bin for birding but one that is small and light enough to be carried daily on walks and cycling trips. I looked at all the competition and felt they offered the best compromises for my needs and fell just in my budget. The field of view is great, close focus is good, contrast lovely, sharpness is awesome and focussing is a breeze. I hope you look at it soon. Take a look at the Sportstar ex also, as a take everywhere (literally i took mine everywhere) they can't be beat for the 80 Euros. Keep up the nice reviews!

  5. How does the vortex diamondbacks hd hold up against the Nikon monarchs 5? Slot of people recommend them. I also was wondering is it normal when viewing a fifty dollar pair of binoculars for your eyes to start hurting?

  6. Great review as always. I’d love you to do a video on 8x vs 10x binoculars. It’s a subject that I think is fascinating. I still don’t completely understand ‘relative brightness’ and ‘twilight factor’ 😅

  7. To be honest the Monarch 5 are still relevant today at an offordable price. I know you are a Nikon fan but I appreciate that you are not pushing for the 7 just because it's newer but instead telling people you don't have to splash out money for a decent glass. The Monarch will be more than enough for most people and will serve well for many years
