At $3.30 a round I can afford to shoot a whole magazine of common ammo versus 6 rounds, With identical grouping. This is ridiculous.
Is it reloadable ?
Dont know if i check correctly but looks like you mags was touching your rig that could have influenced your accuracy.
Skin of your teeth.
Does composite mean that the part of the case with the primer is metal?
Don't do the crazy cheap stuff. I did on my 5.56 AR and it was great but 150shots in and now it's over half blacked out.
You would probably get better groups if you didn't use that rest
I'm sorry, I think I missed the point where it was more accurate than the cheap Russian junk. At that price point, I can reload ammo sub. .5 MOA at 100 yards.
Seems like a gimmick ammo to me.
As I thought. Mostly military calibers. This ammo has no benefit for me over my own hand loads and actually pulls less heat out of my chamber than good brass… I can see it in a military application due to the weight savings.
I have nothing in the .308, 30-06 calibers. I will have to see what other caliber this ammo comes in… maybe some .243 for a longer range deer hunting round. Most areas around here are sight limited by stands of trees to about 200 yards… My .243 or .444 Marlin brush gun both work well for this area. I have been waiting for a good lever gun to come up on the market, but now with these crazy gun prices ain't looking good for that to happen.
Your CMMG looks custom, what barrel do you have in it to reliably reach out to 1000 yards?
With all do respect I'm not impressed at all with that ammo.
In 1979 I purchased and off the shelf Ruger model 77 rifle in 270 caliber.
At the same time had a Leopold 3-9 installed on it. My first time out at the Pa state game lands 100 yards range my shot groups with Hornady 130 grain bullets were inside a dime.
This was 1979 and this was off the shelf hunting ammo.
Again I'm not impressed by what that ammunition did on the range for you. When I can shoot 168 grain Hornady match ammo with my Savage heavy barreled FP10 at a hundred yards and get dine size groups, with all do respect Sir and I genuinely mean that. I really enjoy your videos and appreciate your work…
👍🔥🦅
Ammo squared has this for 72.00 for 20rds.
At that price any amo you usebis cheap sigh in ammo
Iwill pass
“… fancy word for plastic.” I love it! LoL
Grace and Peace 😊
But all the govts. of the world are telling us all that single use plastics are destroying the planet.
at that price, that ammo should shoot a ragged hole .. that's $15 a box walmart special accuracy.. no way it's worth the price they're asking based on what i just saw.
True Velocity never got out of the gate (late 2019) but I did see a video where a guy had his reloading gear/bench on the gate of his truck and reloaded 9mm (??) 18 or 20 times. No BS and he did not clean them either. It was a torture test of sorts. I see two markets for this – 1) military (lightweight) for logistics and 2) rounds more expensive than the 308 like 50 BMG, 338 Lapua, 6.5 Creedmoor, etc and magnum handgun rounds. It all depends on what the cases themselves would cost. I don't reload but if I did have a difficult or expensive round I would definitely consider TV or another casing like it.
