Sling Setup & 2 Reasons IT MATTERS

I bought a sling that can be either 1 point or 2 point QD. I like it because I can use it with all of my firearms and the single point is nice for that pistol grip shotgun QD. One sling to rule them all.

Is the WPS sling better than the Vickers sling?

ya know i was playing mgs 5 the other day and i remembered, i couldn't find out why snake, the main character, wore his rifle down on his left side like a sword, i thought it might have just been a thing the japanese director did to make it symbolically look like a sword, i didn't think about it making it easier to run, and since snake also has to work with vehicles, and horses for a majority of the time, side holstering would in fact make those interactions easier, sure back holstering would be the easiest, but after watching you transition from the side sling to front so quickly, i now understand the point, i should have known better than to have thought kojima didn't do his research

Bro… Moving my sling attachment to the outside of the stock changed the game for me. No more digging into my shoulder. I don't even know where I got the idea that it was supposed to attach on the inside.

Would this same sling placement be right for a bullpup style shotgun as well?

Nah, I always like to keep my slings super-loose for freedom of movement. I can't stand anything constrictive. Back in the day the muzzle of my M-16 would hang by my right ankle, about 4 inches off the ground. I still have that sling, too. It's got a bullet hole in it from an actual gunfight.

All very nice….my personal problem is, that my sticking out belly is somehow in the way and it does not look as nice as you present it ;-).

Just asking…with the example of the VTAC…by placing the QD on the outside surface of the buttstock, didn’t you just do what you said not to? That is, making sure the sling and buckle doesn’t get between your shoulder and rifle butt?

My Amazon cheapo has the bungee thing going on with it and feels pretty nice but I don't think it has that quick adjustment. Is there a easy way to add that feature onto an existing sling?

I bought the latest not so greatest magpul ms4 qd something something sling . I’m a newbie at 53 years old to even using a sling but there’s no loop or strap to pull to loosen or tighten and ( this is the puppy that was like $75.00) and the new qd button is great if it has nothing attached to it but try to use the new two lever actuator deal to release if you’re using an end plate that has qd implemented in it if you’re trying to use this sling ! It’s near impossible to get to with the sling hook and the sling strap . I’m sure I’m missing the boat but I’m gonna have to cut the new deals off because they’re worthless
