Poboy saw an outstanding video from Hilltop Firearms Training Center by Jerry Ziegner. He explains how to zero an AR15 for 50m at only 10 yards. He goes step by step to show how to do it.
I got my AR15 pistol out and wanted to try this method out for myself. Now you can see the results
Thanks to Jerry and his training.

I think the scope is bigger than the barrel.
No offense brother, but at 10yds, your holes should be touching eachother. That being said, Frank Proctor gets credit for this method.
Your logic is flawed. The point to using the bags is to make it as mechanically accurate as possible without factoring in your shitty shooting.
I understand trying to shoot REGULARLY without a bench rest or prone supported position, but when you are zeroing it is crucial. This fact alone make me realize that you are a very inexperienced shooter and should not be giving advice on YouTube lol
This was not TRAINING, this was ZEROING. You need the most stable platform for zeroing, ie, sand bag, shooting rest, bipod. Of course you will not TRAIN using these devices.
for iron sights at 10 yds, how many clicks does it take to move poi 1" ?
1.9 inches won't work for every body for example my truglo 1-6 scope with the mount is 3" from the center of my bore to the center of my optic so I had to use 3" center's
Can this 10 yard zero be used with a 7.62×39 AK pistol?
This is actually from Frank Proctor of Way of the Gun by way of Jerking The Trigger
thanks
did u try shooting the actual 50 yd and 100 yd after zeroing with this technique,im curious if it works at the intended yards of 50 to 100
You should zero with sandbags or a rest, then train without it. You own every round you send down range, you will be a better shot once zeroed properly off the bench . Your explanation will not save you in court. You need to do it right.
hello poboy, do you think that technique will be as effective on an ar pistol. that zero is meant for a 16" barrel rifle. i have two of my rifles zeroed in like that and it does work up to 200 yrds. but due to the velocity out of a shorter barrel i dont know if it will apply. thanks!
The point of the gun vise or bench rest is to perfect your zero, so that when you have to make that shot in a fight it will go exactly where its supposed to. Thats the only time you should use a vise, when zeroing your rifle. comparing the zeroing process to the act of shooting is comparing apples and oranges. Thanks for the great upload, I might try this trick with my pistol to see how it goes
can you show a shot at 50?
Looks like a relatively easy way to walk it right in there.
