  1. Hey Clint. Love your channel. Unfortunately we canโ€™t own anything like these here in Australia. I would just love you to do a topic on best bolt action or lever action for home defence for us poor Aussies who canโ€™t own semi automatic rifles. Just a thought.

  2. I saw a video where few special forces guys talked about how useless the magnifiers are. They all agreed that it was just added weight on the gun and should be kept in a pack or a pocket and pulled out if needed but they all said they pretty much never used them. I think in theory it'd a great idea but in practice it was a flop.

  3. Try being on patrol. Start your shift in the day time. End your shift at night time. Local law doesn't alow < 16" barrels.

I run the magnifier with T2.

Next build may be low power 0 to? Then off set red dot

  4. So, my basic build is for the fight and its my SHTF/Minute Man Infantry build. I want a tool I'm not about building. I want my gun to work and reliable. I want it built to work. This isn't a competition or a fun gun while it can do those as well. Its my amazing jack of all trades but master of none.

Upper is BCM Mk2 14.5 MCMR Enhanced Lightweight Rail with standard weight barrel and a SureFire WarComp Flash Hider. BCM BCG and have the BCM ambidextrous 3×3 charging handle. I have BCM MLOK QD attached as well on the Rail and a BCM MLOK short vertical grip. I also use BCM's MLOK SureFire Scout Mount out front on my rail.

The Lower is also a BCM complete lower but I upgraded the trigger to a Geissele SSA-E. I have the BCM ambidextrous safety selector. I use Lancer Smoke Translucent L5AWM magazines and a Lancer Coupler as well. Yet this only works for the first reload. I use 2 types of Ammo 77 Gr Open Tip Match Black Hills for Defense for the fight small amount for practice and 62 Gr USA White Box range/practice time . This is the ammo I use with all ARs and 5.56x45mm systems.

Sight set up is a little outdated but works for my do it all Rifle. I use Troy HK style tritium back up flip up sights. My main sight is an EOTECH EXPS3-4 with G33 magnifier. I have a PEQ15 but only on it if It is needed.

The other accessories are a Blue Force Gear Vickers padded swivel 2-1 sling. I also have a SureFire SOCOM Mini2 suppressor I can throw on if needed.

  5. Lpvo are great, but also heavy. Lpvo are pretty much between 24-32 ounces. An Aimpoint or Trijicon red dot + magnifier is 12-14 ounces. Huge difference in weight. Use according to load and mission.

  6. I think you just made the case that magnifier are not obsolete and may be the best setup. Most people need a simple red dot for most applications. Then add the magnifier for other situations. The red dot is not taken over by lpvos.

  7. With the rate of how things are escalating in this country I am slowly turning my go to AR from a red dot home defense setup into a do it all setup. In training having an lpvo and a offset is truly the best way to run an AR for tyrant fighting lol.
