reliability trumps ergonomics and modularity
Well I can’t wait to test that reliability out whenever I win the AK50!!!
So when AR-50BMG???
This subject is always a watch for me…I love them both.
Shtf? AR for me.
I just finished my first ar47. I love the at platform, but I like the 7.62×39 round.
I told my wife that when the time comes and I leave this world, don't forget to bury me with my AK. Such a grandmastered piece of perfection! There is no substitute.
Cost and availability of ammo should also be a factor.
In South Africa AK ammo is readily available and it's 1/3 the price of AR ammo. It's even cheaper than 9mm ammo. This means that for the same amount of money, you get 3 times more trigger time with an AK than you would get with the AR.
IMO if you wants the best of both worlds, buy both guns – like a normal person 😏. AK's are dirt cheap here.
Just saying I've seen ARs jam over ammo or a primer falling into the action completely making it inoperable, while I've never had a malfunction in either of my AKs
REALIABLE, DEPENDABLE, GALIL!!!!
The AK can go a very long time between cleanings. Steel case or brass no issue at all. Its a solid design battle proven. The AR 15 needs regular cleanings. Can be ammo sensitive. Parts are readily available and can work in all AR 15 rifles unless its some odd ball. Parts can be easily replaced by the user. If i had the choice between AK or AR i would go with AR. Mag inserted and dust cover closed and a condom on the barrel its sealed up. You can bury it in mud and sand pull it out and fire it. An AK has more room in between parts good for good conditions. But more room for more debris to get in and eventually stop it. Also numerous countries produced the AK and added their own twist to it. Parts that may work in one wont work in another.
When are we getting more surplus unboxing
I've never shot an AK. Love ARs
AR ALL DAY!
YES
Gotta love AK.
Well hold on a second I get 80% lower I have to mill it so that's building 🙂
Toughness of an ak= proportional to of toughness Russian men
Fragility of ARs= insert American scrawny guy living with his momm
[If looking at purely meme culture lol]
it's not fair to compare AKM with modern AR systems, you could look at the Ace 32 or even the newer upcoming AKV-521, and still, there is a huge potential in the AK platform to improve,
ARs now pretty much reached the end line when it comes to development, however, I can still say ARs are as much reliable as an AK, the only difference is that because ARs have a tight tolerance they keep dirt out (famous mud test), with that being said AKs are easier to clean because of the loss tolerance.
Its better weight till you start adding s bunch of bs on the AR rails lol
I can break down a ak and put it together faster then a AR in the dark
Which one is more fun to shoot? I say AK
simple, own both
What is the hand-guard on that AR?
Some AKS are worth more now than ur premium ARS.
Please stop shooting my new Firearm, Clint.. Save me some trigger time..LOL
The AK is a hammer being used as a wrench.
The AR is a wrench being used as a hammer.
The AK-47 reputation for reliability is far exaggerated I've heard the story just as anybody who's been involved in firearms for any amount of time of the things being buried in the mud and new magazine being slapped in them and they run like a scalded dog. But just like those I've also seen and showed many other people the mud test done by Ian over at in range and classic firearms who took several different AK and put mud in them and they do not hold up to the reputation. However they AR15 does.
"We are starting to see more reliability on this system"
That answers the question. The AR-15 is fantastic, but reliability has been the AKs strength for 80 years.
Unfortunately we don't have the AK-12 and 15 yet because the sanction against Russia.
If you have to ask you don’t know firearms! So , if your still thinking, it’s AK! Duh!
Clint, can you give a quick summary of why your run your light offset bottom? I have reasons and ideas from training/lecture but I'd also like your input
Your face your ass what's the difference? Andrew dice clay I believe
Well the Ar 15 has a failure button for a reason so use this information as you will
Agreed.
Sig 516 is a piston operated gun on an ar platform
I’m a newbie and from watching this video I’m leaning towards the AK
🤣
Just buy one of each. Problem solved.
You just had to play Brandon's gun a little more before yall give it away… LOL
When I see these types of videos popping up, I typically take it as, "I dont have an idea for an original video, so I will do a video that has already been done a million times before"
