A great tool from Wheeler Eng. A very different take on boresighting

Once I received mine, I headed for the range. It was a really bright and sunny day. I purchased this unit with the Green Laser because, like this gentleman said, that the Green Laser is much easier to see. I set up to bore site at 50 feet. As hard as I tried, I was never able to see, to locate the beam on the target at 50 feet…
Dude! You keep saying the same thing and also hesitating after your sentence. Just cuz you like to pontificate doesn’t mean we want to hear it! Get to the point and move on. That’s why other reviews are half the length of yours!
They have a model with a red laser too, which costs about $40 less than the green laser.. Apart from the ability to see the green dot in broad daylight, is there any other difference between the two models?
What do you mean it doesnt need to aligned with the bore.. that doesnt even make sense. Why doesnt it need to be? No spuds for specific cal alignment.. I call BS here.!
Worst review ever. Whole review was spent talking about the strong magnet which wasn't very strong after all judging by the way it was attached to the barrel
I understand all of the pros and cons. My only concern is the visibility of the green dot, during bright daylight outside at a minimum distance of 25 yards.
I ordered one in green and it didn't show up thirty feet on a cloudy day. Worked in doors, but not outside at that range. For that price i expect more and sent it back!
I know this is kind of a stupid question but will it work on a break barrel air rifle? Im only asking because most arbor boresighters will not work on those because of the silencers
Who is to say that the cut of the barrel end is perfectly perpendicular to the bore. I would much more trust a centering arbor much more than something that assumes a clean cut barrel end/crown. In short I don't like it because it makes assumptions
This device solves any concerns about accidentally leaving a chambered laser bore sighting tool inside the chamber or having any adverse impact on the barrel rifling at either end, e.g., muzzle inserted types.
But just how accurate can it be considering that the device relies solely on the rifle crown being absolutely perfect? Even the most accurate rifle metal lathes have a tooling +/- tolerance spec…….. even the slightest tolerance offset would cause the laser to point off center IMHO……. Is that really good engineering practice?
Method is not right, micro metric even minuscule variations in bore opening will give you false results. even double feet magnets on the top of the barrel will be more accurate.
It is hassle free compared to the other style of bore sighter. You stick it on, eyeball it to center it (It's not a pain at all). I haven't had any issues with compensating for it. I've used it to sight in 5 scopes/sights now, and it works great.

Amazon just dropped price to $88.00 for green one Awesome deal.
Amazing how many do not know a bore sighter is to get you on paper; you still need shoot and adjust the crosshairs.
Hello friend, where did you buy it, and how much did it cost you $$ ???

This bore sighter works fantastic.

it works on pistols ?

what a waste time this video was … your bore sight is a joke

And yes these statements don't align with the agenda…… truth is like that sometimes…..
Will this fit on AR style muzzle brakes?
seems if the magnet side had concentric circles engraved in the magnet, lining it up would have been a piece of cake.

So does the magnet stick to stainless steel barrels?
K thanks for the quick response and for clearing that up. Really thinking about buying this one.

How is it hassle free when its a pain to get it center then having to compensate for it being off
It is hassle free, I like it. I completely agree with you on the other type. Switching those little (easily lost) plastic tips.
Awesome.
Will do. I found it cheapest at OpticsPlanet,we'll see and I'll let you know.
Let me know how it works out for you Chuck… I'd like to get one too.
Just ordered one, now I'm excited,lol. 🙂
Very nice, I get tired of trying to get the other type to fit into the barrel properly. That looks hassle free.
