You didn't share the gas block with us. Adjustable,basic 750 or a piston perhaps? I'm really wanting to set up an upper using the, American Resistance qd barrel system. Put the 8.5 300 Ballistic Advantage barrel I have,a 13.7 or 14.5 5.56 and the 8" OG CMMG guard 9mm on a 3rd rail. 1 receiver to rule them all. My Maxim short tube collapseable that uses the short JP silent capture unit works on all three. I also use that buffer for my MCR and it runs like an Olympic gold medalist! Personally I need a larger optic than Aimpoint'$. I have 1eye so, MRO,RMR,SRO,Elcan and my least favorite,Eotech 🤢are what Ive found to work for me. Irons are still the best though. Oh and running the same Noveske N-4 lower for about 5 years now. Seems solid!?got 1 basically for free in a trade at a local shop.

Sorry, not trying to hog up your comment section but I only use Aero M4E1 uppers and lowers. They are absolutely amazing for the price. Although I do have some ODG builds in mind utilizing geissele, mega and forward controls design receiver sets and handguards, they're hard to come by and at 600-700 per receiver set I can almost build out a complete AR if I go with Aero. I've never had a problem and I have been able to buy an m4e1 lower every month this year by simply entering my email information for product arrivals.

Suggestions: If you're going to run a red dot that doesn't have a set of backup irons, but is setup for NV work as this is, just raise that red dot up at least to 1.93, maybe higher on Unity Tactical mount. You should start running Vltor A5 system on these dream builds. It is really unbeatable smoothness and reliability for minimal additional cost. Dream build should have a better flash hider, either setup for a QD can or a pronged like the Wilson Combat Accu-Tac.
The Good: I have several builds like this using BA Hansons and Aero M4E1 sets. Really great stuff regardless of money. BCM MCMR is still my favorite handguard for the money and solid choice, basically the same as here. PLHv2 is the best balance and I run those in almost all builds, with only the occasional OKW. I usually run something like the Steiner 9007 on most NV guns, but have seen folks like the Holosuns. Can't justify FP PEQ, MAWL or NGAL on all builds either.

For your build: try a SOLGW NOX
For your duty rifle: I’d look at SOLGW 13.7 M76 instead of the ZEV rifle.
