I’ve had the same CMMG AR upper conversion kit for the 5.7 for about 3 or more months and I can’t keep the magazines loaded. From day one until now, the 40 round magazines cannot stay loaded for more than a 24-hour period. I don’t know what’s going on. maybe it’s just the three 40 round magazines that I received with my upper that’s the issue or if this is an issue with all of their 40 round magazines. Let me know what y’all think below

I have the same issue with mine. I sent detailed emails to CMMG and they had me send my magazines back. The mailed me new magazines that are the same defective designed magazines. The plastic feed lips bend with time (loaded), significant use and at a faster time if loaded and exposed to heat. I explained the issue and gave possible remedies. If you are interested in this 5.7FN AR, get the whole firearm that uses the FN Five Seven factory magazines. Until they use Aluminum bodies for the "conversion" magazine or an insert that is metal…. steer clear of the conversion. I want to add though, CMMG continues to work with me on this. The firearm itself is epic quality, one of the most fun things to shoot ever.
