  1. I've got an Aero Precision Lower that for reasons that are irrelevant I had installed a CMMG trigger into at one point. I encountered the exact same issue with the trigger not properly resetting that you had with this Banshee. Something has to be out of spec on those things, I swear. Also I wasn't mag-dumping, just trying to zero the gun.

  2. I have had that exact gun for about a year and 2,500 rounds. 2,000 suppressed with a dead air wolfman. It’s been very reliable suppressed and un suppressed with deferent ammo after putting a weight in the bolt. It’s Deff one of the nicer pcc out there as far as shooting / controls if you have other ars. It also has been noticeably relatable even running the suppressor wet and not cleaning it often

  3. CMMG Customer service is Top Notch!!! I have an original Banshee #522 and it had some issues with failure to feed and eject. They took care of everything and rebuilt the gun, updated to todays specs and even changed the cerekote color all for $0. Top Notch communication. I just emailed them and they seemed to keep in touch. Couldn’t be happier with CMMG….Runs like a Top now…

  4. I own a Banshee 9mm, but I bought the conversion mag version. I agree with your point on the length. I bought the 300 upper with conversion mags because it was the least expensive option, but it does make things cramped up front. As many of my accessories as possible are attached to the pic rail. I have a Streamlight up front, and an ANVL UKON from ANR to have backup irons that take up very little space. And I thought about using an MLOK QD, but instead have a Wilson Combat QD that attaches to the top rail and puts the socket at 10 o'clock. That short barrel really limits what you can do. However, it also means I can fit the gun in smaller spaces for defensive use.

I have to wonder if my CMC trigger would have the reset issue. The Banshee action is pretty dirty, so I wonder if that's part of it.

On a completely positive note, my tax stamp to SBR it arrived early this week. Still thinking about which stock to get for it, and if I should get a VFG or not.

  5. Did cmmg send you this, or was this purchased without their knowledge and theoretically representative of the quality one of us might get? I realize sample size of 1 and all that. If this was T&E or similar and it had these issues, I would expect the average purchaser might see even worse problems.

  6. I have a cmmg bcg and barrel coming for a build so this was a welcomed honest review. Off topic question. Most every gun youtuber rails against registries, yet most have registered SBRs and supressors. As someone who lives in a state where simply cant own an NFA item, the logic was lost on me. Would you have any thoughts on that? Thanks for the continued great content.

  7. Great review sir, I have some thoughts I own a banshee and I purchased the MK57 with the 40 round conversion kit. Also the 8 inch barrel is critical to having enough space as you have seen. Also added a Geissele flat face trigger. First thing the MK57 being chambered in 5.7×28. Every benefit of a 5.56 is in the 5.7×28. Weight, ballistics, accuracy, recoil and capacity just designed for PCC. I'm a small frame guy and This rifle fits me like a glove and I don't deal with over pressure issues found in short AR15 chambered in 5.56. To wrap this up the firearm you reviewed is nowhere comparable to mine and I think you would prefer the MK57 I could be wrong. Grande thumb did the same thing. Tested the lackluster 9mm version with the pistol lower and quickly moved on. On my full size lower I also have a bolt release that works unlike the pistol version as you mentioned. Add the new oss rad 22 gen 2 not even released and a primary arms Micro prism with the magnifier and you have near perfect rifle other than the magazines not being pmags. I take what I can get and hope this brought some insight to you and your viewers.

  8. Just removed this pistol from my wish list. Perhaps the JP Enterprises JP-5 Roller-Delayed Blowback 9mm will be a better choice. For certain, nothing is being added to the inventory w/o Aaron's strong recommendation.

  9. They sell their radial delay BCG separately but state it won't work with all lower receivers. Has anyone built a 9mm PCC using their bcg kit? What lower & upper did you use?

  10. I think I noticed the Holosun LE321 laser on one of your rifles a while back. Review coming? I just finally found one in stock after about 6 months of searching. Not sure if I should buy it or not. Cant find ANY reviews from anyone reputable, which is kind of weird.

  11. Great to see your take on this. I recently got a factory 8" upper and built the stripped lower out, been flawless besides when I used the FRT-15 meme trigger, it had several FTEs. None with a normal trigger in about 1k rounds.

Really like the recoil impulse, suppressor didn't seem to change recoil much, wasn't that gassy w FCD ACF helping out.

If you didn't have trigger problems, would you prefer this or the MPX Aaron? For the money you can buy a Geissele trigger and a law folder and match the MPX price tag

  12. I must say that the Taccom 3g PCC adjustable recoil system and extreme short stroke bolt combo have made a big difference for me with regard to AR9 recoil impulse. Still would like to test out the radial delayed BB system though.

  13. My CMMG Banshee 200 9mm was the most unreliable, jam-happy firearm I have ever owned and I own a lot premium guns. Even with the tuning kit, nothing but problems. CMMG customer service was helpful, but slow. Sold it after a year of unhappy ownership. It was very accurate and had light recoil, tho.
