So cool!
My thumb slipped and I subbed seeing the 70s dude. I don't regret it.
Should have made it all black
If it doesnβt hold zero for $12,000 rounds it ainβt worth it. Unless they will resolve the issue with no questions asked – with the lifetime warranty.
do yall think this would still be effective on a 10.5 inch pistol with 1:7 twist? i ask because i read that this was made for 20 inch barrels with a 1:12 twist
You mention that each movement of turret is equal to 1 moa. Is that a complete turn of 360 degrees ? 45-90-180 ? For $300 they should have made it click. Iβm skeptical. I had an inexpensive Eurolux that was the same exact design. It doesnβt hold zero any more. But I had it for 30 years and was only $60. I donβt mind spending $300 to buy the Retro- but only if itβs worth it and made better to hold zero than the Eurolux I have.
If you have a BRN Proto upper, does the trigger style charging handle have enough room with this optic mounted? Just curious.
I want it because I can still use my iron sights on my XM-15 with it
Love this
Ah, yes, the flying shrub kick. Very tactical in 1973.
Man….I'm kind of bummed. I have the original Colt 3x mounted on my Colt A2 and I was really hoping the Brownells would have regular click adjustments with modern turrets. You just saved me 300.00
10/10 outro holy shit lmao
I've see a handful of BRN 601's with varying greens in their furniture color did you paint yours?
Is it not advisable to put a modern scope on a m16?
Always sold out aaaaaaaaaaaaaah. Why do you taunt me with what I can't have?
So did you keep the retro scope on that rifle?
The real video starts at 9:28
zero, put it on paper, then shoot bullseye at 200 with the 200 yd mark to see it's ability

Wow ! Surely blends well with the terrain. That is, well in California.
How far off is it with 62gr ammo.
DM Slyder is the best name I've heard in a good while LOL
Why no bayonet charge!?
Mrg&g you said that you saw units using them in the initial invasion? If ya donβt mind me asking what did you do while in? Interested to hear!
Oh shit π that spin kick
You can get the same scope just without the Brownells logo for $100
Thanks for the review. I noticed you mentioned this scope is designed for 55 grain ammo. Is it going to make any difference on the bdc dial if I run 62 grain?
ππππππππ
Nice review and demo. There is a way to estimate range though. you use the duplex to bracket or frame certain objects, either from duplex to duplex or duplex to center (e.g. at 200 yards, an average man's belt to top of head will frame from the duplex to center. you just need to figure out the MOA value of the fine lines.
Beastie Boys SABOTAGE, eat your hearts out!
Bought my first AR in 1978 and put the 4x scope they made for it at the time on it, I really liked it and if I remember you could still use the iron sights like a lot of rifles I bought in the 70's and 80's wish I would have kept that first Colt AR15 $304 out the door came in a white box.
Does the BDC turret just turn from 1-500yd setting? Or does it keep turning like an uncapped turret?
Wish it came with lens caps
Kudos to Brownell"s for going with a QUALITY retro "Colt" scope rather than the Made in China route. Talking about going old school. Now I have to buy a removable carry handle since all I have is flat tops. I think that guy at the end of the video is Timmy Magnum, the brother of Thomas Magnum P.I.
Hahaha you reminded me of CarniK Con at the end π
I'm glad you explained the scope ! That is very awesome that it's made in the same factory as the original.
