I go over the little changes I made trying to get the 22lr working with FRT and also getting single shots with another FRT with a heavy spring

I finally got the FRT15 running with my 22LR. Link to my UPDATE 2 video: https://youtu.be/aDKfOJtctPU
I may or may not have one of these triggers…..I'm worried that with so many people posting videos on them that the government will be banning these in short order. It's best to keep these more on the down low in my opinion.
I tried the same thing and had the exact same results.
DO NOT CUT THE SPRING. Just bend them slightly. This is a common technique to lighten a trigger
Thank you so much, I also have a CMMG, so if youndo manage to get this to work, please share
Did you get the single shots bud?
I was thinking of trying this myself and was delighted to see that someone was already at it, best of luck and I hope you share the results.
Same set up, running a 50 round drum flawlessly.

Great Vid wish I could use this FRT in my M&P 1522
Did you ever get the Rarebreed trigger to work on your 22LR? I have the exact same set up SPZRACE has, but I am having the exact same problems you're having. I get one shot and then either a dead trigger or light primer strike…so frustrated right now I have bought all new springs for the bolt, new magazines and the gen 3 weight from borebuddy as well as the buffer pressure plug, …SPZRACE and JayDub got theirs working and have been trying to help me, but nothings working so far…hoping yours works so you can hopefully shed some light on what was wrong with yours.
You need more engagement between your bolt and hammer as to force the trigger into reset. try super gluing a piece of a pop can on the little hump on the bottom of the bolt. I had similar issues, if that proof of concept works then remove it and put a few thousands of weld on that bitch
You have to add a lot of weight in your BCG to act as a heavy buffer. Even with a timed trip you're going to only get single fire as it will reset and fire with the bolt open resulting in either a light primer strike or no strike at all. Once you add the weights it runs. . . I'll have a video up running it on Sunday. . . It works great
Try lighter buffer?
You will need the metal anti-bounce weight from CMMG. It replaces the polymer forward assist block that sits on top of the BCG. We're an FFL07/02SOT and this was needed for reliable operation with a full auto lower.
Let's get an update on the 36m on 300blk and the b&t
Thats interesting that everyone seems to have a hard time getting single shots out of these mine is stock and and i can consistently get singles i have shot a lot and do have a fast trigger finger even on a gi trigger so that may be the case but i like how when you get to know this trigger its VERY controllable
cutting the legs wont lighten the spring you keep the spring pressed within a vice for a period of time and just maybe that might lighten but tbh ur best bet is tring to find a spring already lighted
any update on this…did you get the 22lr to work with the FRT?
Have you determined if it’s the fact that you’re not resetting the hammer at all or the fact that your hammer is resetting but you’re getting bolt bounce.
I am also working on somthing like this that will make it selectable
Before you modify the frt hammer spring modify a mill spec spring to fit and try that
Stop with the FA and single shot terminology its false statement, weather use less sensitive would be my suguestion.thats what happened to braces and look where that has ended up too many dummies
@bench175
You can check out the comments on this video. I think you need the adjustable antibounce with 4 tungstens. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fe_agpx9Gtg
I really want to see this work. Keep us updated!
Silencer enthusiasts group on FB. Look up Fabain Cocina's posts. He was able to get his to cycle and talks about his setup in his posts. He is running a suppressor and that added backpressure may be what is needed to get a reliable reset. He is also running the bore buddy adjustable buffer weight system.
You dont need a buffer tube at all to shoot the cmmg bolt. The buffers and springs only matter when shooting with an AR carrier, as the cmmg bolt does not move into the tube.
I think either the trigger springs are too heavy and you can try getting replacement springs…. OR there might be a way to get a less powerful spring for the cmmg bolt. Maybe try a replacement cmmg spring and cut it a few winds at a time to lessen the pressure it puts on the actual bolt
I just got my trip/weight and will be trying to make it happen too. The cmmg trip i have will also not engage the trigger lock, looks like I'll have to bend it too.. good luck!
