Do 1 thing at a time, baby steps. Start with the fire control group, then the safety selector, the trigger guard, bolt release, then the take down pins. The rear takedown you have to do in conjunction with the buffer tube/end plate.
Ah man, yout first build. I think I've put together almost 10 lowers over the years, each time it's like a puzzle which I enjoy every time. There are plenty of YT Vids on how to do it, just a quick tip don't let the pins fly across the room, & wear eye protection when putting it together, believe me I almost put my eye out the first time with one of them damn detent pins. You don't need to go any further for a good quality completed upper than Palmetto state armory and for good price.
Relax, LOL, Building the lower is easy. Start by identifying the smaller parts such as the springs. Then take it step by step, start with the magazine release, then bolt catch and so on. AR15 dot com has step by step guide plus there are all kinds of how to videos on youtube. If you need help let me know. For the upper you can go with palmetto for a good price, if you want more quality then go with a BCM upper.
