The Streamligh ProTac HL-5X is currently one of my favorite big flashlights. It has fantastic throw, good battery life and is pretty affordable. I first got to play with this light at NRA 2018 in Dallas. Even on a well lit showroom floor this light was bright, when I heard the price point was below $100, I was sold. I have carried this light for about 2 years at this point and have really enjoyed using it, and showing it off. For a road side kit, an emergency bag or for search and rescue, this light would be a great asset to the user. I included the manufacturer’s description and spec down below for anyone interested.

The ProTac HL 5-X is available two ways: The ProTac HL 5-X USB is a complete rechargeable system that includes two of Streamlight 18650 USB batteries with an integrated USB charge port; The ProTac HL 5-X includes four CR123A lithium batteries. Are the stock batteries only 2600 mah? Im assuming you can use any 3.7V 18650 button top?
Thanks for the review I just bought 1 and am excited I use flashlights for my work and have been very unhappy with several brands, the amazon special 39$ 90,000 lasted about 4 charge cycles 1 month, I bought a monster flashlight a few years back it claimed to have a good warranty after 4 or 5 months it stopped working I sent it back under warranty when I got it back it was in the same condition NOT WORKING!! so I called monster flashlight gave my order number and discussed the warranty and my issue, the guy at monster flashlight told me I just need to jump start the flashlight, what a jerk off Bull shite er
Built like a tank, I also went with the Low/Med/High set up, the only thing I'd like to see added would be a tailcap switch.

So I I got home yesterday after going off duty to find a burglary in progress at my neighbor's house… This light lit up the world and the suspect was apprehended. Such an amazing light, it's Almost a light weapon by taking away the their night vision. I love it!!
Doing Pizza delivery part time and in my old age I’m having trouble seeing addresses at night especially when people have their lights out so I can’t see the address so I bought this light. Wow it’s over kill but damn I can certainly see the addresses now.

Things are getting back to normal as they can. That flashlight is exactly what I am looking for. Good point about the port on the side. LoL out takes at end were great.
