Guys the zoom only matters if you are using a second focal plane scope with variable/adjustable zoom. It does not matter if you are using a fixed zoom scope or a 1st focal plane, variable zoom scope. (hint: always buy 1st focal plane scopes if you want variable zoom and consistent mil adjustments)

@kjun13 The terminology your stating is 1st focal plane, quite common and cheap.
Spacings stay the same regardless of what mag used.
Another point worth mentioning is very very few scopes hold zero when mag is changed and i am talking top end way above S&B.
Keep in mind that it will only function as a true mil-dot scope UNDER A CERTAIN ZOOM.
The manual for the scope will tell you.
If you're willing to shell out some serious money you can get one that adjusts both the reticle size and the image so you don't need a separate range card for each zoom level.
