I think the reason why your mags are tough to put in is because you have them fully loaded. With some of the polymer mags when you load them up to the max they expand at the top which makes it tough to put in the firearm. I had the same problem so for 30 round mags I’ll load up 28 out of 30 so the mag doesn’t expand so much. This fixed the problem and the mags go in smooth as butter.
