  1. hi i have a colt 6940 upper but it won't fit well with my spikes/stag lowers, its just not a good fit and when i took it to the range for the first time it malfunctioned, can anyone help please,

  2. The barrel installation procedure skips the application of Lithium-Moly grease and the need to tighten and loosen the barrel nut 3 times (to 30 ft/lbs) before moving to aligning the gas tube.

Good basic intro video to show the scope of work required to assemble an upper with free float hand guards.

  3. Wow, that was an informative, easy to watch video.  Kevin truly has his stuff together.  I've got an AR kit on order and this video taught me a whole lot.  Thanks Kevin and thanks Firearms Patriot!

  4. So I've seen other vids where the guys are talking about stretching the threads when installing the barrel.  The castle nut would be tightened and loosened a few times before final torquing.  Also is it not important to check head space no matter what?

  5. Thanks for the vid. I'm in the middle of an upper build and this vid was very useful. Now I'm off to the hardware store for some blue loctite, barrel will be done soon! Thanks again!

  6. Excellent. I want to change my AR from carry handle to flat top, and wasn't sure if it was an easy DIY project. Learning that headspace is not an issue with a properly made complete barrel I know I can do it, or build another upper and keep the one I have. Thank you.
