You could probably do an acid etch patina on the lower, make it look old and well used.

I'm starting to get into M16's and this video is not helping my wallet. Just got a 1969 HR complete A1 barreled upper I am going to use.

Dose anyone know if an M16a1 upper can go on a AR-15 lower?

Were you able to use your old front sight block? I'm being told that since my barrel is not drilled for the FSB pins that I have to use a new FSB so they can be drilled together. I'm having trouble finding a new A1 FSB that is recessed for the flange on the triangular handguard cap.

Are u going to andonize or paint the lower? The raw aluminum doesn’t really fit with the rest of the gun

Nice build that lower needs a battle worn black paint job.

Also if you buy one already made ar15/m16 lower will all the parts usally line up without any other modifications on my end. Any recommendations on a good lower to use for this?
