Streamlight has been a name many have trusted for a very long time. In the modern era of the lumen battle they have released this long bad boy the tlr9. Now this one take a long 18650 rechargeable battery. The battery is removable still which is really nice because generally the batteries will go bad long before the light. You can also use the non rechargeable batteries if you wish. This take ques from the TLR7A with the mounting switches on the back being the high low options, I prefer the high. With a much sleeker profile than the tlr1hl, also 1k lumens now, this is a cleaner overall light that gains length due to the battery placement being in line rather than side by side.

Is it too long or just right?
Needs a little laser
Yes sir Og I like that beat to your intro
thanks for your videos, very helpful. Any suggestions on a holster that would be compatible with S&W M&P 45 with streamlight TLR-8?
Do you know if this light will fit my safariland holster? I used the tlr HL 1 for my Glock 34
Good video. Decided to pull the trigger on one for under $120 to try on my 34.3.
Who did your stippling and what pattern is that? Will a TLR7a work with a holster made for the TLR9?
I love the profile , however 9 months outta the year I need more candela vs lumens due to my state (alaska) being dark 9 months a year π€£ . I love the channel , and content . Right now I bounce between a TLR1HL AND the PL2 (pl2 has more candela and lumens then my x300u)
BTW, to unlock strobe mode; click the button 10x's quickly, holding down on the 10th click 'til the light flashes. Same goes for the tlr7(a) and tlr8(a) as well as the vanilla tlr7 and 8. Once unlocked, just double click the button
Nice rundown keep up the good work man
How does it fit/look on a 1911? Close to flush with the muzzle?
Hey brother, just wanna say, thank you for also being on top of replying to everyone! My Glock 34 was inspired by your build! I appreciate you continuing to listen to your subscribers even when you go up in followers! Love your stuff man! Keep safe!
Id like to see the same aesthetic design shrunk down. A single cell cr123a compact version that matches my slide width rather than exceeding it.
So what is your primary carry these days?
Good video as always brother stay safe out there
Do you know if they make a light to fit the hellcat?
Great Info!
.
May I suggest doing a video for best light based on size of gun?
.
I bet youβd get a lot of viewership!
For some reason it didnt fit in my safariland als red dot holster on my g17, but the tlr1 does. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
Thanks for showing the footage in your home of how the light reacts in different areas of your home. Also for talking about condela rating, most people donβt even know or ask about. Awesome review, would like to see more lights reviewed this way! Cause not every one buys a light for night shooting, mine is for defense purposes
might not be a good fit for my nomad 19
Very Cool weapons light from Streamlight !!!!!!!!!!!! I'm a huge Streamlight fan !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love it brother β€οΈ
I realy like Your great videos. Good work Dude.
I thought that only looked good on 1911s… I stand corrected.
Horsepower and Torque:
Horsepower = how hard you can hit a wall
Torque = how far you can pull a wall
Lumens and Candela:
Lumens = how bright you can illuminate a wall
Candela = the distance you can see a wall
The light has the ten tap for the strobe function i have a tlr9 on my glock 34 and you can enable or disable the strobe function
Imagine if they used an 18650 instead of two CR123s
Again other great informative videoππΎ The only long Glock I have is the Glock 21 Gen 4, its looks like May a little bit more longer. But look great on your rigπ₯ππΎπ©π½βπ¦²
That thing is freaking hot π₯
thats a beauty.
I think you can use the rechargeable 18650s, if I understood MrGunsnGear correctly. I may get it eventually. Looks nice on the 34! Appreciate your work, as always. Candela throw doesn't impress me, though.
Bro you always have the slickest setups!!!
My tlr7a seems brighter
Great video man! The light is a little long for my gun
It is pretty long. If in not mistaken the TLR-1HL has more candela. I have a old TLR-1HL with 800 lumens and I also have a new TLR-1HL with 1000 lumens. They are both great lights. I utilize them more than my X300U-A.
UPDATE: The TLR9 has 1,000 lumens, 10,000 candela and a beam distance of 200m.
ThE TLR-1HL has 1,000 lumens, 20,000 candela and a beam distance of 283m. This is info per streamlight's website.
Right now I'm using Nightstick weapon lights and so far they have been great.
So if it uses two cr123 does that mean it can also use the one battery that's about the size of two cr123 I think it's a surefire battery.
That is a loooong light lol.
