  1. One blown out red dot that looks good with cam and another not blurry at all .. both vortex and the only response I get is astigmatism… wtf like I said one it tits and one looks like an ahole

  2. Only Just today did I find out I have some astigmatism. I was browsing for a circle dot budget options because I hate standard 2MOA dot sights. I hate 2MOA dot sights because I always saw them as a tiny blur whereas circle dots where much easier to see (although they do appear a bit grainy). I then started to question myself. I looked at some image tests and sure enough, I have astigmatism. I also have a bit of trouble with EOtech unless I close one eye. I guess that's why I've always been an irons or scope guy.

  3. It’s funny because until I saw this video I always thought that red dots in real life had nothing to do with red dots in video games for example.. because mines aren’t “dots”. Well, turns out my eyes are messed up, so I’m gonna snatch an Eotech for my AR. Thanks!

  4. I’m gonna say it’s both eyes and optics. I have Presbyopia (1 step before Astigmatism) and own both an Eotech and Holosun optics.
The circle/dot reticle in the Holosun optics are much more clearer and sharper to me than the Eotech, which is very fuzzy.
As a result, I have mostly Holosun on my rifles.

  5. I also realized that when looking through my red dot in my poorly lit room was when it was most fuzzy and flared out but going outside with more light helped considerably. Not perfect but definitely usable. So I really have no idea if I have an astigmatism or not lol.

  6. I have astigmatism and all my optic dots look like either comets or a bunch of grapes. The best optic for me and my eyes has been my Eotch XPS3. I would like to try an etched reticle.

  7. Friend was having this problem w a vortex but I couldn't tell what he was talking about- I seen nothing. After he sent back & got another w same problem, he decided to have his eyes checked & sure enough- astigmatism in dominant eye. This would've helped him immensely!

  8. I noticed a bit of flair with my optic, but didn't think anything of it. I've always known that I had an astigmatism, but didn't know that having one could have been the cause. It looks the same with or without my glasses on.
