In the accompanying news conference, he did refer to the AR-15 as an "assault weapon" just like the clueless Dems keep calling it. And he never even mentioned "defense against a tyrannical government." Senator, I appreciate your photo-op stance on the 2nd, but you must speak the whole truth. The entire "defund the police" goons are striving to "disarm" the public! Here's an idea: propose a bill to "disarm" the Capitol police and Secret Service and we'll see how long the "compassionate" and "peaceful" bloviators take to arm up. After all, the government should be all about creating and maintaining a LEVEL playing field for its citizens, right? We give up our weapons, YOU give them up, too! Period! But that would never be acceptable either, right? I don't want to pay for your protection with MY MONEY if I can't have myself protected with MY MONEY! That is "meaningful gun reform," Senator.
