  1. Thank you for this.
Why don’t you make the bolt carrier a full auto profile? Is this something that would be able to be custom ordered?
Also what aftermarket triggers do you recommend that have enough power to ignite the primer on a 7.62×39?

  2. Two more questions:
    1) I see the term "Mk47" used all over your website and literature but it looks like the name "Mutant" has been discontinued. A gun by any other name is just as badass but why the name change? I like calling it the Mutant!
    2) Is there one specific person who came up with the concept of an oversized .308 bolt carrier face for the 7.62×39 cartridge or was it a group effort? What lead to this discovery? I feel like it's the main innovation that keeps the Mk47 ahead of the AK/AR hybrid competition and it's one of the best ideas in recent history. Thanks, keep up the great work!

  3. Will you be making a 22LR conversion for the MK47? I love my MK47, but it'd be nice to have the 22LR bolt around to toss in and not feel the pain of the current ammo crunch or heck, do a bit of small game hunting when I go backpacking. I'd buy 10 mags and a bolt in 22LR for the MK47 ASAP if it was available. Suppose I'm just jealous of those with an AR upper and lower that can toss your 22LR conversions in.

  4. I had to open my gas port to 3.20 mm and added superlative arms adjustable Gasblock on 10.5” mk 47 and cycling is πŸ’― with brown bear subsonic ammo!!πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‘πŸ‘

  5. Answer to Question 1 – Primary Arms 1-6x with ACSS Reticle. Would recommend American Defense for the mount. Never cheep out on a mount.

Answer to Question 4 – Flip up iron (NEVER PLASTIC!), Red dot sight (recommend holosun), flashlight mount and light (recommend SureFire), simple USGI NYLON 2 point sling (no need to get fancy with the sling. Keep it simple). The big 3 are red dot sight, weapon light, and sling. Anything more than that is just being a Tacticool Timmy unless you can legit justify it for a specific purpose. Spend your money on ammo and training. No piece of equipment is EVER going to replace that.

Answer to Question 5 – In addition to what was said here, check out the Brown Bear 193gr subsonic for ammo choice. Subsonic 7.62×39 is hard to come by so that Brown Bear is going to most likely what you're going to see. I personally would only run subsonic 7.62×39 out of a bolt gun and use it for hunting.

I'm an AK guy considering getting an Mk47. Oh and kudos to Missouri where CMMG is located for being such a kickass state for gun owners! In addition to CMMG, they got Fiocchi ammo, Midway USA, CZ USA (sorta, it's in Kansas City on the Kansas side), Black Rain Ordinance, Smith and Wesson, and best of all, Rob Ski!

  6. Couple questions

Are Mk 47 lowers compatible with MkW 6.5 Grendel uppers? If so, will AK Grendel mags work?

Also is it possible to get a 6.5 Gren barrel in 18"? Only see 16" then 22" for longer ones

Are Mk 47 lowers/bolts compatible with VLTOR A5 buffers? Will the gas key strike the lower?
