  1. Hey Mr.GunsnGear! Please answer asap as i will probably order this….is this considered a weapon light and will it handle the light recoil of 5.56/223. Should i mount it on my AR?

  2. Remember, for home defense, YOU are in control, unless you relinquish this advantage. If you keep the are dark, any light into an intruder's eyes is disorienting. You are at the back end of the light. More illumination is better, in my opinion, whether using staff, knife, or firearm. Home defense can be a disaster, if not sure of your target. NEVER have you finger on the trigger until your sights are on the target. And you will not see the target until it's illuminated correctly.

  3. Is it CREE C4 LED? Also—it probably has crappy candela. If you look at my TLR4 review (90 lumens) you'll see it's probably brighter than your maglite. In the video above you'll see my 103 or 104 (can't remember which) maglite sucks compared to it. It's not all about lumens; people just get wrapped around them.

Check out my X300u review for my real world experience with using it inside my house against an intruder.

  4. 100 lumens huh. I just bought a $33 mag light from walmart and its 134 lumens. Its good to see in the dark but doesnt seem bright enough to blind someone. So would you say 500 lumens is too much for inside the house?

  5. There's no rule as candela matters just as much as lumens. But, most C4 LED weapon lights with 100 lumens and up will blind someone inside a house. I recommend the APL, TRL1, or X300 for handguns. Pick whichever you prefer…

  6. Hi great video. I'm looking for a light for my glock. I don't know how many lumens is good. I basically want it to be so bright that if someone looks at the light it will blind them good. What would you suggest for my home defense handgun?
