Here is a 1st Look at some new gear I just got in. Starting with the new CMMG 5.7×28 Upper Receiver with a 8″ barrel. Rather than going to traditional PCC (Pistol Caliber Carbine) route of using a dedicated lower receiver to take pistol magazines, they have came up with 40 round magazines that fit into a standard AR-15 lower receiver.

To top the new little gun I have a Trijicon SRO in a Scalarworks LEAP Mount. And since shooting suppressed is always fun, I tried the Q Erector Silencer on the gun as well. All together making for a nice light package.

  1. Did Q give you any crap for running 5.7 through the erector? I just got mine in today and noticed it said 22lr only but was a bit confused by that when seeing your video running it with the 5.7. Have you had any long term issues with it by chance?

  2. That's the build I want to do next! I really like how light that cartage is and the fact that I can run a lighter suppressor (my 22lr can is rated for 5.7)

  3. The weather looks great there. Been debating on a 5.7 or a 7.62 and leaning towards the 5.7 for the light recoil and velocity. Is the cheaper ammo at an advantage over this or still better for a 5.7?

  4. Awesome a .22 silencer works with it yay. I won’t need a different tax stamp and another 800$ 😂
Just ordered a 5” barrel and the BCG last night. Gotta wait till next paycheck to get the mags and upper.

  5. it looks like more blow back not being set up right. is this a delayed action?( i can look it up myself nvm)

on the reload. if you want to try a different technique try keeping the stock in your shoulder for more control.

  6. This thing makes no sense. As a training tool 5.7 is waaaay too expensive. The same thing could be achieved with .22 in an AR platform. So if it's not training cost then why?… Recoil? Come on 5.56 is not that intense even for new shooters, or hell even newborns. Is it ballistically superior… No. Seems like a pointless gimmick that we'll eventually see Gun Jesus review in 10 years or so. Keep up the good work though, the content is great.

  7. It’s a cool upper, but I don’t see any practical applications for it myself. Sticking to the AR platform, 5.7 is not as powerful as 5.56, its not going to be as good of a suppressor host as a pcc 9mm or 45 acp upper, and it’s more expensive to shoot than all three of those.

  8. sorry friend, I dont mean to be a troll, but WTF are you shooting for speed on your video with a freshly unboxed, unzeroed weapon? did I miss some kind of point?

  9. Would love to have that upper to go with my FN FiveseveN!!!! But unless they make 10 round magazines, and the factory only shows 40 rounders, I wouldn’t be able to shoot it in Commiefornia.

  10. Not what I would have wanted. Want to impress me? Should take FN P90 mags on top AND FN57 pistol mags through mag well. Pet peeve: unnecessary proprietary magazines. There are 30-round 57 pistol mags…that would have been better with an adapter.
