Palmetto State Armory sent me this little fella to test out and review, and here is Episode 1!
I promised PSA that I will not give the firearm lip service, and will be 100% honest with the review process… The good and the bad.
Here is a little background info,
Made by Palmetto State Armory. The KS-47 Gen2 PISTOL has a 10.5″ barrel, heavy buffer tube, pistol brace chambered in 7.62×39 and takes AK-47 magazines.

WeaponTech makes bolt hold open follower for 5-6 dollars, doesn't work on magpul though but there are DIY mods you can search on google for that.
The Yugo bolt catch mags work real good.

I have the rifle version myself its one of my favorite guns to shoot recreationaly .
Yep. That's definitely the 8.5" just like mine. Loving it so far. Had a trigger pin walk the first mag, but popped it back and no trouble since. I guess the pin just wasn't properly set at the factory. Had to file my PMag tabs a little to get them for fully let the paddle lock back into place. Some more testing and this could well replace the AR in the top of the chest of drawers as the grab and go, the pistol ain't gonna be enough for this, gun.

That looks like the 8.5" one with a 7" hand guard to me.
But is it as cool as their AKP with wood furniture and a side folding triangle brace???
My friends !!! Why do I feel like that PSA company continues to have slow production ??? additionally, I noticed that their website poorly reflects their products. It could use an overhaul . Look at Ruger's , Sig Sauer's or S&W's ,etc….. Come on PSA !!! Step it up !!

I added a DDC HRC side charger with subdued grip. It is perfect. Larue two stage trigger. Zero malfunctions with trigger. Also geissele super 42 spring with h3 buffer. This thing is a beast!
I was litterally going to order this this week but people panic bought them all.
I've been a big fan of PSA for many, many years now. Their ability to innovate and come up with awesome firearms to bring to the market at affordable prices never ceases to amaze me! Will definitely be paying attention to your videos on this one. I've yet to own a 7.62×39 chambered AR, but this would be the one to get in my opinion.

I was planning to build one and built a side charging upper. Then I found out the upper receiver was special and a standard AR upper is not compatible. At least initially PSA was a bit…..dishonest about it. I still might give one a try. I think it makes a ton of since👍🇺🇸

Nice! I like the ears on the mag release. I threw a raptor charging handle on my rifle version for easier charging. I threw a nikon red dot on mine but haven’t done a serious accuracy test yet. Excited for more. Thanks!
