Great video! I learned a lot just now!
If you had a 3x magnifier and the red dot would you flip the 3x out of the way and just use the red dot
Excellent video. If only all guntube channels were so excellent.
So if you aimed this optic at the target bullseye at 25 yards after you zeroed it at 50 yards, would you still hit the 25 yard bullseye?
Wonderful post!
Very helpful. Thank you.
Where can I get those shooting bags?
You didnt explained well details about clicks or I am wrong?
If its 1 MOA Red Dot sight, that means 1 MOA at 100 yards, right?
So, if you are zeroing at 50 yards, your clicks will be doubled because it is half of "nominal value" or im getting wrong?
Meaning, if you say for example correction 3 MOA to the right, that will be 6 clicks (MOA) because it is 50y zeroing?
Does anything change when you are zeroing a 45 degree offset?
Use a bore sight
So that was 6 clicks down and 3 to the left?
Thanks man
Why do you use 5 vs 3 round shot groups?
Good job! Your video is straight to the point without a bunch of chatter. Thank you 😊
Total of 6 Vortex scopes/ red dots now. I'm more than happy with them. All my self-defense guns have them as well as my hunting rifles.
Now to figure out which Vortex to mount on my 22" AR coyote gun.
should we have a level on the rail once we set it on the bags you have in the video?
step one, stop buying shitty vortex scopes
I appreciate the 36/300 yard zero…and I use a bore laser initially and line up the red dot to it and go from there…
Is it still necessary to do this if you are using fully automatic heat seaking bullets?
I love Vortex products, I have one on a Ruger mark 4 and it's great and just got one for my AR. Can't wait to try it out and sight it in.👍
Thank you. And thanks to my brother in for letting me shoot at his place.
If you want to zero your red dot so it is accurate between 10yrds. to 25yrds what distance should I zero it at?
What about an AR10?!!!!
very helpful love it thanks,
I bought a green dot was told they work better in daylight than the red dot.
This guy looks related to Brendan Burchard. haha
Is it necessary to use Loctite Blue #404 on the mounting screws to install on an AR-15? Thanks for some advise.
I got a question for you I just purchased an EO Tech 512 waiting for it to arrive have a few other red dots I got a question for you when it tells you to go right is that bringing the dot to the right or is it bringing the bullet to the right.
I went with the long term investment when sighting in my scopes and red-dot's. I bought a laser cartridge for an additional $20when I bought my Strikefire II. With the Vortex set to green, I just look through the sight and match the red and green dots together. The Strikefire is now sighted in and no bullets spent. Can use this method over and over when sighting in my buddy's AR's as well. A lot less fumbling at the range. 🙂
