I don't think the review and demonstration needed 16 minutes….
Had to skip through a lot.
Don't get me wrong because I'm a believer in handguns weapons mounted lights. And the more lumens the better. But to be honest how much light is needed on a handgun. My glock 19 and 23 and my sig320c have tlr8a lights mounted. And it's perfect for their intended use. And I've mounted streamlight HLX protac lights on my ar15 and ar9 carbines. The 500 lumens is tje perfect amount of light for my use on a handgun. And will allow me to engage out to 50 yards consistently which I'm comfortable attempting to engage with any handgun. 50 yards and beyond really calls for a more capable weapon. And regardless on anyone's opinion on the 9mm carbine. The fact is due to it's longer sight radius and significant increase in muzzle velocity. From 50 to 100 yards the ar9 is Superior to any handgun. And equipped with a streamlight HLX protac. At it's maximum range of 100 yards. Which is my own cut off for its use. Is more than effective in realistic use. And to be honest. That is as long as most armed encounters are going to be for most individuals. And if I anticipate a long range encounter then that's what my ar15 is for. But realistically long range duels are rare and usely only applies to military and occasionally to swat teams. Which few civilians will ever have to face. I'll be in the market for a sr10 in 308 soon. But for now I'm considering a ar40 carbine to replace my ar9 carbine as my primary home defensive weapon. I tend to keep my weapons practical for my realistic needs.
