After 5 months since this video, Is this still your go-to flashlight for mechanics work?
I just got into flashlights. Used to be a headlight guy or the magnet light guy, but I always leave the damn thing on and forget about it, or end up blinding someone when I'm talking to them.
For quick little jobs or temporary 'WTF, I can see shit' moments, or just doing your multipoint inspect, the small streamlights are awesome. And theres no forgetting a flashlight between your lips😂
Still using headlights, Underhood and work lights when I'm doing bigger jobs
Crazy how a freebie will chang your mind hu!
Magnetic chargers collect to much debris in the shop, makes it a pain when they don't get good contact
As far as the light in mouth deal….i use a braun light from harbor freight with the magnetic base i have never ever put u flash light in my mouth lol. When i was a noob the lead tech of the shop i worked at laughed at me as i went through various types of work lights and told me i should buy a streamlight and that i wouldnt regret it he had like 4.I finally bite the bullet and he wasnt lying.Ive had the same one for 8 yrs only thing ive had to replace was the battery….
Man… there aint no replacement for a streamlight….. how many times have you dropped that dude….. ive dropped mine at least 500 times and it just dont fn quit!
I lost my Streamlight stinger a while back so I bought a Milwaukee usb rechargable flash light. battery like isnt as long but its a good light
I bought a couple olights about a year ago after watching some very promising reviews. Unfortunately I found them to just not hold up to mechanics use. One broke on the first drop to the floor and the magnet for the charger collects little metal particles and rust. Good light for home but not for work for me. Please do an update in the future of how this one holds up! Thank you for the great content!
Im a streamlight stylus pro guy and people ask me all the time on my channel why i dont use a head light. I don't like them either! 😂
I agree 100% on headlights, they never get the light in the right spot no matter what you are doing. They fall off when doing dash work, they are just a bigger pain in the ass than they're worth.
I like a bright long lasting flashlight that has good "mouth feel"…because that's the only place that gets the light right where I need it…99.9% of the time.
Good Flashlight, but wish it was just on or off.
I use a fenix rc09, it stays clipped on my cap most of the time for use as a headlight.
Olight makes awesome stuff!
150 for a flashlight….
That's a funny joke
gotta put a plastic or vinyl sleeve on your light for mouth/teeth holding…..better yet streamlight makes a headlight i cant live without
I would not trade my strion for any other light. That mouth fitment… got a piece of heat shrink around mine tho.
The button.. on the bottom. The tail cap switch? Lol I love Olight, I work at a train terminal at night and the Olight Warrior Pro is the best of them all and cheaper than the Seeker 2. It's got perfect light spill for where you're standing and a perfect hotspot that goes over 600 meters. It goes forever.
Ha!!!! My front teeth are round from the streamlight….that's why I switched to a headlamp…10 years of sucking a flashlight really hurts…I get lockjaw and said before (round front teeth) still have the streamlight but i use it for oil changes or inspection work…big jobs I use a headlamp (edit: "coast" headlamp off the snap on truck )
Get back to us when that thing has half the finish worn off and it's been dropped a few hundred times. Then we'll decide if it's better than streamlight or not.
Those are huge lol. I usually carry a stream light that takes 1 aaa battery. It's super small and light.
For the money, check out the Braun and Quantum rechargeable lights at Harbor Freight.
I have 2 of those little streamlights They are perfect size. I use to love them but they can't take the beating I give them. They don't like the shock of being dropped or knocked off my tool box or cart. Sure they have a "lifetime" warranty on them but it takes too long to have it replaced. The tool truck guy I bought them from has "retired" and he use to handle it for me.
I like the way it charges, 5yr warranty..hmm not bad, idk for $140 not sure how long this company would be around for to honor their warranty 🤔
Not a fan of head lamps too. Unless you really need it in special/ rare situations like clutches or rear main seals
I use the s2r baton from olight great lights
Drop test??
You can drop a streamlight on the concrete a hundred times and it will usually work fine, cheap flashlights, maybe twice
Never had a Streamlight always have had Fenix or Olight and have been very pleased with performance and price as well as durability.. The Streamlights seem overpriced for their output.
This video is stupid af. FRM running out of shit to review. Lol a flashlight is a flashlight. Shit I use a Bic lighter to find shit who gives a shit.. sorry frm u should make more cigars videos..
That looks like an awesome light! Thanks for sharing!
Olight is real big in the law enforcement and self defense worlds also
Just need on off switch , and a non rolling barrel.
“Mouth feel” my guys always make fun of each other but they all do it!!
Lights and cigars this guy keeps his mouth busy
Thanks.
That looks like a good Flashlight. I like the way it charges. I have had several lights with USB chargers. The USB port wears out very fast.
Not sure I want to give up my Stinger LED HL. It works great and I have the dock hard mounted in my service truck. Not sure how the magnet setup is going to work in a bouncing truck.
THICC.
Replace my beloved stream light nooooo, but I did supplement it with the Astro Pneumatic (AST65SL). Seen it in action with Eric O were he used it as an area light. I found it to work great while I'm under a dash. For my carry light, my Stream Light has never failed me. And over the years I've been let down by many other portable lights.
So you don't like the headlamp, but you do like it in your mouth
Been using olight for a few years now. Really like my H2R with 90* light with mag base.
